Well I'm thinking about selling the GSXR. Most of you have seen the bike, and know what I have in it. For those of you that don't here is a list of what I can think of so far. 2nd owner. It does have a rebuilt title. It was wrecked by the original owner, but was all cosmetic damage. around 10k original miles (slightly off from not correcting speedo for my weekend gearing). I have owned it for all but 2680 of them. Everything I have for the bike will go with it. pc3 usb M4 slip on (plus oem) new forks, fork seals and fork oil. new clutch, (and old clutch. Haven't measured yet but think there is some good steels and fibers) BMC airfilter DRD speedo corrector vortex rear sprocket (+3) Plus OEM sprocket still in good shape down 1 in the front aftermaket levers (plus OEM) tinted screen zvx2 530 chain (plus OEM DID chain) fully adjustable swing arm extensions, custom lowering links (about 1.5in I think)plus OEM links Aftermarket rear seat cowl. tinted tail light (also integrated tun signals if hooked up.) Also have oem taillight Aftermarket Stator cover (also have the original). After market manual cam chain tensioner. Spark plugs 3000 miles ago, New brake pads all the way around. Stainless rear brakeline (plus OEM) aftermarket front mirrors with tinted signals, (plus 1 oem mirror,I broke the other last night) a pair of painter aftermarket side fairings, plus 1 oem side fairing (I was gonna paint it this spring. valves adjusted in August Extra ram air tube, Custom Chain Guard (for extended) Clutch modified for better oil flow, and slipper removed (can be put back to have slipper clutch. Also might throw in spare left fork + parts fork (outer tube and inner parts are still good) Spare rear wheel (complete with rotor, hub, and everything else). And probably forgetting more. All work has been done by people I trust (Eric-suzuki certified tech., Chris Batton- GSXR Genius did clutch mods and put new clutch in, BOTP brandon little Chris and myself- Generally just love working on bikes) Also seats are being redone soon if not sold first by Alex (Vene09 I think). I literally have spent more on this bike than it is probably capable of being worth. Always stored inside, maybe spent 3 nights outside in the almost 2 yrs I owned it. Oil always changed with full synthetic. This bike has yet to see an oil change with over 2k miles on it. Usually less than 1500. I am asking $5500or best offer. Which is low NADA (since the title is branded, and it has some cosmetic damage). Some might argue that is to high, but that includes all the extras (atleast $1000 worth of parts). Mechanically nothing major. Does have a hiccup under hard acceleration in first gear only (only in first it has a hiccup somewhere between 7k and 10k, and only under hard acceleration). Still trying to figure it out, can go more in detail if interested. This is the First bike I fell in love with. It is that amazing. http://www.nadaguides.com/Motorcycle...dard-Equipment Last edited by Pimpit; 11-14-2011 at 12:41 AM. |

Exactaly why I put or best offer, and posted under it All REASONABLE offers considered. Plus it comes with a shit ton of extra stuff. And the fact that it was a drag bike doesn't matter, it has been gone through since it was raced, and is all in good order. Not forced to sell it, so the end of the season doesn't really matter either. I still plan on riding it, and upgrading it until I do sell it anyways. Just thought I would see if anyone was interested before I spend to much more on it. Like I said I love this bike and I own it outright, and don't have any major financial issues, so I am not in a huge hurry to sell.

You would be better parting out the aftermarket parts. Bikes with rebuilt title are only worth about 2/3 of NADA price, and then on top of that the bike doesn't run flawlessly. Just like a dealer will say... don't care about the parts on it, as the NADA/KBB doesn't have a pricing for them. GL |

Like I stated above, It is or best offer, and if I don't get an offer that motivates me I will keep it, and make it a dedicated drag bike. Never hurts to have more bikes (even though my wallet already disagrees with maintenance on 3 bikes lol). Just thought I would check the interest level

Sorry Scott I have to agree with above statements. You in the same boat as me only my title is clean. I know if I ever wanted out of my busa I would have to part it out to get any of my money back. It is what it is.

Once again, please read above statement. If I needed to sell, price would reflect that. As I don't, and could care less if it sells, I through up what at this time I would think I would want. But also remember negotiations are usually down, not up.

Sorry this is a waste of a post to even continue on BUT.... Nothing kills me more than seller that say that they "dont need the money" or "I dont need to sell". Are you just planting the seed that you wont sell unless you can get what your asking or just letting everyone know your financial situation? Why put the bike up for sale if you dont need the money? If you dont need the money why are you selling things?Anyway back to the bike. You said it doesnt matter that its the end of the season? Thats close to one of the naive statements, you cant possibly mean that.. I have a feeling boats arent flying out of the dealership for the same reason bikes go stagnant around November.... Why make 5-6 payments on recreational vehicle (toy) that they cant get any satisfaction or use from until weather permits. I understand that you own the bike and are not being forced to sell but putting you bike for sale around the holidays shows desperation IMO. If I was shopping for a bike now id expect to get the kind of deal that you and BOTP get for those bikes or better. Everyone knows my opinion aint worth shit but thats what I think |

I merely thought I would through it up, and see if there was interest other than the usual it's priced to high crowd. If it sells I can start another project, if it doesn't I run it till I kill it (or it kills me). And yes I know my price is high. That is because A: I am not in a position that I would give it away, and B: it's simple sales knowledge, price high and negotiate down. It's pretty hard to negotiate up. | |
