Haha. I dunno, I just look at stuff and want em... It will be a sportbike. Plus this will only be a done deal if I sell it for what I want. Otherwise I will continue customizing it. You calm down people, at least I'm not this way with expensive bikes. Cheap bikes are easy sales.

Do you just like working on them or something?

I do like working on bikes and turning them into something good from crap. That's not it though. I just get bored of bikes. I loooove riding, but the bike itself bores me sometimes. May never be satisfied with the bike completely but I will be riding, that's for damn sure.

Keep a couple of bikes then. One to ride, and another to work on and flip.
It's got to be tiresome paying taxes over and over again. Get the title, work on it and let the next guy pay the taxes. Just 2 cents worth

Not for me it isn't. I talk people down to make up for the taxes paid. So really no hurt to me. I have actually made money off a few of my sales. I'm going through bikes until I find that one I wanna keep for a long time. Probably just going to have to buy a brand new bike sooner or later...

But if you get new, you will be wishing that you hadn't wasted the money. Get one that is one or 2 years old, after depreciation, there are plenty out there.
Did that with mine, was a demo that only had couple hundred miles on it. Got for 4 Gs under selling price of new.

Oh sorry, should have specified. New as in 2005+ and hardly any miles. Something that there will be little to no questions as to what the engine condition and it's history is. Anything with under 10k miles is new to me really... That's where I'm not picky on bikes, the mileage.

At least I don't piss you off. Some people just don't understand how I can't keep a bike. hell I can't sometimes and it makes THEM mad. haha, doesn't make sense. It's not your money or bike!

That's a good idea. Andrew can buy (and later sell) the bikes that others want to try out.
I'd love to try out a Ducati Streetfighter!!

Already have a few bikes in mind of the next one. Just need this one gone. If anyone knows someone or is looking for a great running, low end power bike then this is it. Perfect for a beginner. I just want something injected!!!

I've already done this and they haven't said anything to me about it. I don't think they enforce this law much.

You may be better off doing it with a dealer license that way you wouldnt have to register them for 2 months of riding just swap the dealer plate.

Not until the warning flashes across the screen down at the DMV as you try to title it. Don't be nieve enough to actually believe that your failure to obey the law will become an oversight on their part. Lots of people try this every year, and every year, lots of people pay the tax in the form of a FINE.

Unfortunately they include scooters and car/truck sales into this rule. I may be stuck with this bike for just a wee bit. Oh well, it rides well! Just wish I had more power on top end.

Anyone know how much the fine is for not having the license? I can't seem to find it on the dmv guide...

New ad... http://boise.craigslist.org/mcy/1373177905.html

Looking at a lot of bikes lately. The VFR is looking like a prime choice. There is also the Yamaha Vmax that I would LOVE to give a try. Power on those bikes look pretty insane. No hard twisties but that would be a good thing for me right now. Or the older Honda Magna "Super" bikes. Really anything with a V4. Never ridden somethin with the V4 so would like to give it a shot.

I've looked at your ads on CL and I have a bit of advice for what it's worth. First, you don't have pics of the whole bike really. People want to see the whole bike, not just close ups of specific parts. And also, don't start your pics with the bad parts. Highlight the good and mention the bad. Just trying to help as I've been in sales for many years now. Take it for what you will.

Shaner is right. I was one of the interested parties before I knew it was Andrew's. The ad left me wondering how it looked as a whole bike. $1900 certainly had me looking again and again, but ultimately I wanted a Ninja 650r and picked one of those up instead (those two bikes often go head to head in reviews).

Photos of whole bike, and highlights of how clean it is, and how good the tires are will probably sell it quicker. If you can get the average joe out to see the bike, then you can show the minimal damage while trying to close the deal.

That said - I have a bike to sell now, but I will be waiting till spring when people are getting the itch. I wish you good luck Andrew - it is a pretty sweet deal.

Damage is fixed now. Just need to update the ad. I have never had this problem, I figured people were able to picture the bike as a whole, guess not. I always worry about the bikes engine and the cosmetic stuff later so I put up a pic from every angle the damage could be seen. This is how I do it and how I have done it with no problems. Problem now is that no one is buying... with the exception of a few.

I know someone who may be interested. I/we just need all the info. Miles, what is broken, bent, dented etc. Still got those same tires? Salvage title? Is there a new CL listing? How about a pic on here. If I think it is something he'd be interested in I'll send him a link to this for sure. This guy is one of my good cyclling friends and I'm sure he'd be great on the motorcycle with a little experience. Can't have to many good riding buddies.

New photos look pretty good. I have emailed it to a few guys here at work who prefer "naked" or dual sports. In fact, just heard my friend Greg has been watching this one on Craig's too. Hopeful for you.
