I Ride: 2007 CBR1000RR

I sent an email...
Anyone had experience with the Power Race at the track?
I'm thinking about buying some and trying them out at Miller.

stubby has used plenty of them out there...he and I have both used the new power one race tires....great stuff. Although for some reason I still pushed myself harder on a PP 2ct front and a PP rear...lol

also...check out this link if your curious....not a bad deal at all

I need a new front before I go to the track for sure and at this price (assuming there is decent tread left) I don't think I can pass it up.
Probably buy a set.

takeoffs

I just want to get them out of my garage..the tire mountain is getting scarey! And if someone can put them to good use...all the better.

Yes Stubby has used Powers quite a bit at Miller, they seem to work well off-road too.

It looks like I will be heading down for the Oct track day. A new/used set of shoes would be great. Not being the tyre expert, which set would work best for my heavy bike?

It has the 190 but I read somewhere alot of people are putting the 180 on to help it turn in better.

Just looking for RTO

my opinion would be to snag the power one front and one of the medium soft rears....since there arent any other options for rears..

only thing i see funky about that is that the power one front may be a commercial line of tire rather than the competition line....you dont need tire warmers on commercial line but the medium soft rear would need a warmer.....you can always ask scott at fastline when your at the track what he would suggest....

also...if your comfortable throwing a 180 rear on your bikes rear wheel then I will have a standard pilot power by oct that your welcome to throw on there.

I've been out there on the PR Mediums. they work really well after about a lap in, but I didn't like the front as much as the PP front. my turn-in seemed affected. (yes my suspension was setup.)

I was off the track more than on it also when using the PR Mediums. Coming in too hot, and ran out of tire. but they do well on the rumble strips, and very well on the run outs. I think I test all the one out at MMP one day.
