Bike goes like HELL, deserves all the bike of the year reviews. Season is almost over at this point and I have a decision to make.

Drop a few G on shiny titanium bits and keep it for years OR sell it and move up to a liter-bike in the spring.

I was going to ask $8k for it, but I seriously mean to find a home for it ASAP, so I try for price to good to refuse

For sure bank only want to loan to me for one bike at a time.

Did 152mph on June 1, with my 220lb arse aboard. Suspension is quite good, with only casual setup from Jason, I was able to run up the inside of most larger bikes, held it's own against modded 750, no chit. Slipper clutch is SUBLIME

This was my 3rd sportbike, I'm just ready to try a literbike again.

Lol, it will go faster than that

If I was employed I would take it off your hands, but ATM I am not.

That *might* change soon, if you still have it here in a bit I'll come find you.

Was on an 07, I put the rubber side up this summer. Great bike, hellacious brakes and good handling, low engine power though.

The 09's are supposedly the best 600 ever built.

Had it at Miller on Saturday, offered some test rides, no takers. Went around just a few other bikes (you know who you are). Very happy with the level Kawi hit with this one. Needs new rubber now, price reflects that.

I sat in the pits next to a Monster ZX6R. The owner told me he sold it to the rental place. You? I was the dork on the blue/white SV.

Yup, that was me. The rental place backed out at the last minute. The track day was still worth the trip x10! I'm really hoping someone will jump on this deal or I'll trade it and no more deal.

I picked up some orange plastic trailer chocks that somebody left behind. Maybe they were yours?

Those are Dave's (truck+trailer) I carried the Kawi down in the Green Astro, and sadly back up too! The 2010 liter bikes are starting to come in, I trade it shortly. It would be sad to see someone drop 9 large at the dealer when they could snag this.

I agree--from what I hear it's a fantastic bike, and yours looks like-new. The price is good too; hopefully you get a sale.

I don't know Dave, but if you happen to talk to him, please let him know he can contact me here if he wants his wheel chocks.

I figured you traded that in or had it on consignment - I saw one on craigslist for $8500 a week or two ago that looked identical.

I can't figure out how you got to this decision. I mean, to each his own sure. But this bike is hella fast. According to the July 2009 issue of Motorcyclist, that bike posted lower lap times then the new R1 and the GSXR1000 with pro riders aboard. Thus, it sounds as if you would be trading for a SLOWER bike. If I were you, I'd be asking myself: Do I know something those riders don't know? Will I go any faster on a literbike? Do I really spend that much of my day at full throttle? So fast, that I am are willing to take the wallet killing, "wintertime bike sale bath" for it?

Even more confusing, is that you are looking to replace it with another new bike, after just experiencing the 20%-30% 1st year depreciation hit on this "new" bike. $2500-$3000 per year to ride a bike less then 3000 miles seems kinda steep if all you are doing is getting something (supposedly) "faster". If money is no object, GREAT! Either way, I applaud you and fully support your decision to stimulate the economy.

(I might also suggest you get a couple of japanese twins thrown in too. Just take lots of pictures, because if we have to sit by and watch you screw yourself, we want hot naked twins in the photo)

With the same rider or different riders? We could be comparing Martin Cardenas to Johnny Rock Page. Both professional riders with a huge difference in lap times and skill.

All the testers rode all of the bikes in the comparison. The Kwack had the second fastest of the six, getting beaten only by the Ducati 1198. Keep in mind that the spread between fastest and slowest was less then 2 seconds. "Faster" is certainly a relative term, but for the average Joe, out on Main Street?

at the track day 0700 was talking about getting the new RSV4.
i can see the kawi 600 having slower lap times than the r1 or gixxer1k cause the track is prolly better suited to liter bikes.

Huh? First of all its a track day, position doesn't mean anything. If you keep up with that theory either you or someone on the track next to you is going to have a very bad day. If you can get your corner speed up, it won't matter what you ride. Case in point. Noah Tally, 14 years old, running a 125 2 smoker is turning low 1:40s. He doesn't have the power or top end to pass liter bikes or 600s but he does, and he does this on corner speed.

Second, you can run "A" group pace on pilot powers. So tires and power is not what is limiting you. As the saying goes it's better to be fast on a slow bike than slow on a fast bike. If you are slow on a 600, you will be even slower on the 1k. You might be able to shed a second or two on the straights but your corner speed will suffer or you will crash and well that mentally screws you over for some time.

If you think tires are holding you back, then it sounds like you are at max lean angle. Try fixing body position to use less with even more corner speed.

Get what you want, but if you are wanting to improve, don't get the liter bike.
