No kidding. This is why you buy used bikes from Craig's list. Mark-ups and lack of haggle would really turn me off to buying from a dealer.

On the up side, you have someone to sue if it blows up after you drive it off.

Cut them some slack. It's much easier to go DOWN in price then UP. If Carl's still has an 08 at that price, I suspect the Harley dealership will be more then able to come up with a negotiated price that will be very desireable. It's not like they WANT a freakin Hondoogie on the lot...as snow is falling.

They throw the price high so you feel better about yourself when you talk them down.

Someone like me, but they don't do it the right way. You do it with cheap bikes! Come on people!

I saw an 07 Aprilia Mille' Factory with 3k miles sitting on the showfloor of Carl's today. It's never seen a corner. Someone traded it in for a cruiser. So trading a Honda in for a Hog shouldn't be too suprizing. Different strokes for different folks I guess.

That's the first thing I thought.

Oh wait.... It's cause their first impression of a sportbike was on a Honda. it all makes sense now.

The Gixxer was too much for me... too much work that is. I've moved on.

Don't worry, I still have the Gixxer. I'm just done fixing ###t on it so if it breaks again it goes to the highest bidder! I'll start a thread for the new bike once I really dive into it.
