I Ride: on sidewalks if needed.

Vanson one piece leather suit and A* boots

Ok so you guys can all flame me for this, I was an idiot and didn't try it on.

I picked this suit up sunday night and since the guy I bought it from was basically the same size as me I figured there was no need to strip to my undies in his bathroom to see if it fit. The suit size is a 36.

But hence I was wrong. I'm 5'6" and weigh about 150lbs this suit fit me height wise but is way too tight through my hips and legs. I wear about 32"-34" waist in pants.

I know I'm one of the midgets of this motley group on BRN but maybe someone has a friend or wife that wants to ride and could use a suit. It will pass tech at any track. It hasn't been wrecked in as far as I can tell and the knee pucks are still good. I know it's a little retro but when your sliding on your azz down the road do you really care what the suit looks like?

Boots are a size 9. I wear a 9 1/2 shoe and these fit my foot fine. they are alpinestars and the toe sliders aren't even scuffed on them

I paid 80 bucks for all of it, and I'd just like to get my money back. If no offers in a couple days I'll throw them on Ebay and go that route.

Mike, 871-7313 you can call or text to come see them. AND try them on!!!

leather suits are supposed to be a bit snug so they dont ball up under you while sliding.
you can always join me at the gym thats across the street from your house.

Text me your address and I'll run it over for you to try on. I'm usually home by 3:30 or so.

Snug yes, cutting off circulation, no.

I think if I lost any weight it would be in my gut and not so much in my legs so the suit would still not fit.

Checked out the website, but do you think its worth it trying to "make" a suit fit, or should I just wait and buy the correct size suit when spring rolls around??

They say right on their website that repairs while they work to pass tech but if your questioning the integrity of the suit then you should just buy a new one.

they were talking about their "trackside repairs" like if you went down and wanted to get back out on the track for the rest of the day.
i think it would be ALOT cheaper and worth while to have the suit made to fit you.

it prolly would, but we will have to take you off at the knees in order to fit your tall lanky ass in the suit. which im totaly up for doing

I thought it was a good deal too, but since it doesn't fit me and no one else seems to really be jumping at it I may have to Ebay the damn thing just to get my money back.

#3 It's the time of year where money is low :P

Thanks though! Good luck selling it!

Yeah, Ebay is pretty easy to use...but chit, i would probably just drop it off at that store just to save my self the hassle. not sure what they charge..

I have personally bought a couple items on ebay and its a cinch. Selling i think would be the same. Just need a camera and a paypal account. And the time to correspond with the buyer.

Ebay is easy, I have bought and sold a lot with really good results. Don't take it to the Ebay store, they'll rip you off i'm sure! Let me know if you need any help and I would be glad to help you Mikey!

Has anybody ever heard of "Gypsy Rose"?? I talked to a rep at work today. His wife rides in the MoM series at MMP, he said she had gotten a suit from a school she went to. It was a mens suit and not cut for a women. She took it to this gypsy rose place in garden city and the lady there redid the suit to fit her for next to nothing. I might check her out to see if she can make it fit me for under 75 bucks. then I'm only into the suit for about 150.

If not then I'll Ebay it.

Well with a name like Gypsy Rose, she sounds like she might be a Flower Child

It's called Gypsy Road Leather 323-0881
I have a couple of suits that I'll take down there to get repaired this winter.

And the guy you talked to must have been Michelle Webb's husband, I'm assuming?
