I Ride: Husqvarna SM610

That is DEFINITELY my old bike! Damn, I miss that thing!

It has the 600RR swingarm, LeoVince pipe, etc. That thing has a speedo-healer, race filter, etc.

I'm honestly tempted as hell to buy it back!!

Oddly enough, I spotted this one on Craigslist the other day:

Its the R6 I bought as a winter project and then sold two springs ago.

The swap wasn't too hard - it took an afternoon. I spent more time custom building a socket for the castle nut than anything else. The handling was better because the 1000RR shock is much better than the stock F4i shock.

Does it matter what year 1kRR shock?? does only certain years fit??

I was thinking that I'd like to do this mod in the future, but was unsure if it made any difference in handling or if it was just a cosmetic thing.

I Ride: Retired

I thought I read that the swing arm change was simple a plug and play swap with the exception of adding some spacers.

The particular castle nut on the F4i swing arm is a ###king nightmare to get off. Its not a castle nut like a swing arm has, its some twisted horror that looks similar.

If you need the socket to remove the swing arm pivot bolt, I have it, but we would have to Dremel it to fit it to the "castle nut." I think its a 27 mm socket if I remember right. It would bring back some un-fond memories.
