I'm pretty sure I got a couple masks and guns in the attic. Haven't pulled them out in years. Used to play a lot out in the woods, was fun.

I always wanted to get into it but never could afford my dream gun. http://www.pb4less.com/Marker-Packag...-p7257222.html Just could not justify spending over $200 on a paintball gun.

Was screwing around and found this. I dont know if paintballers would know what to do when this thing was rattling at them. |

I would like to play some ball again if people wanted to go play some speedball. I dont do the woods ball stuff, too slow paced and boring. It has been a long time since I have played. I used to play lots of tourney ball when I was in middle school and highschool (painballing is where my name came from). It was really cool traveling all over the country just to shoot people. lol. I had to quit playing because I could no longer afford it. For years I went through at least 2 guns per year at about $3500 each, plus the $2000+ per month for practice paint alone. At least the sponsors would pick up the tab for the tournament stuff. High level paintball tournaments are hella expensive to enter (sometimes over $20K per team!) not to mention the travel expenses to go with it. I still have LOTS of gear, but no gun/nitrogen tank any more though. I sold my last gun and bought a 4 wheeler with the money from it a few years ago. Someday when I have money to burn I will have to buy me whatever the new latest and greatest electropneumatic marker there is and start playing speedball and tournaments again. It is SOOOO much adrenaline filled fun! I love shooting people. lol |

I really miss playing, but I really dont miss the drama. For some reason the male ego doesnt like to get shot by another male ego... go figure. haha. I do miss practicing with some of the best ballers in the world at the best paintball facilities in America. I have played with/against many pro and semi pro people from some teams you may heard of such as dynasty, naughty dogs, mommas boys, bad company, evil factory team, etc... NPPL and PSP events were the chit man! Ah the good ol' days. A few of my buddies have been trying to talk me into getting back into it, and man is it ever tempting. If I only had like $3K to get myself another gun, tank, and hopper...

To me it didnt really sound all that fast. I have had guns the would shoot over 20bps all day long in hot or cold without breaking a single ball inside the gun. Thefastest gun I ever had was a Bob Long Lasoya edition Intimidator that was totally tricked to the max (aftermarket wise) with a custom air solenoid that I ported myself, custom bolt porting that I did, my own custom set up regulators, and electronics that I programmed myself via my computer (was set up a little bit on the illegal side, as far as tournament rules apply). It would shoot 24-26bps often, and was always over 18-20 if you really got on it. The gun operated on only about 80psi and it only needed like 150psi of blowout to propel a ball at 300fps. And all of the guns that I have had were electronically controlled "semi-auto" markers. Walk the trigger and she will spit lots of paint at you. It is almost like shooting a rope at someone. lol

I used to work at that paintball place back before it was known as true paintball. Back then it was called splat. I have not been there since the name and ownership has changed. What kindof discounts are we talking about? And I hope you say cheap cases of paint because I would need at least 2 cases each time I played to feed my guns. The price of paint is what forced me to quit before. The good stuff is rediculously expensive. I could barely afford it back then when I was playing at least 3 times a week and at least two tournaments per month, and that was with a HUGE (like less than half price) on paint because of my sponsorships.

well there is a group rate, i cant remember what it is, and you can get decent paint for around $35 a case. I would imagine we would only need like one case, due to the fact that not everyone is playing speedball, and prolly doesnt have a gun setup that costs more than $1000. so it would be pretty mellow.

Just because your gun can spray lots of paint doesnt mean that you dont have to worry about being accurate. The high end markers are more accurate and are way easier on the paintballs when set up right. In speedball you need to be able to rail it when you need to and not break paint and also be able to shoot good accurate pop shots. In my experience the difference between the pros and everybody else is when the pro pops out he shows a very little of himself and shoots quickly and dead accurate from ball 1. When the people below pro/semi-pro/pro-am level guys pop out they tend to shoot alot more rounds per burst because they lack in the pop shot accuracy department and end up more or less aiming with the rope of paint that they are throwing. Anyways, I guess I have just been too spoiled with the really nice stuff. Once you get used to it, you dont want to play with anything less in performance. But I would also have to pick up another nice pump gun and a nice mechanical semi-auto backup gun too. I love playing speedball with the pump guns! They force you to be good at pop shots. I am definately going to have to start saving my pennies and work towards getting myself something to shoot. I have tons of gear still, everything except a gun, air tank, and a halo. I have been thinking about building a really nice mechanical autococker for quite some time that would end up being the back up gun once I was able to afford another electropneumatic gun like I would want. I have all the parts to do a pretty much top of the line mechanical cocker except for a body and barrels. Damn you guys have got me wanting to spend some money. I told you this paintball stuff is like crack to me...gettin itchy..
