I Ride: k4 busa

not been a great season for me

So long story short I struggled with tire issues, wheel issues, charging issues, brake issues, and much more at the start of the season. I have had the bike up and running now with zero problems now for only a little more then a month.
On my way home tonight I noticed my clutch is now failing. If I didnt like this bike so well I would sell it. As of now I am going to take a short break and collect my thoughts. Im just sure how much more money I can truley afford to through it this year.

I Ride: Lets leave it at that.

Oil change maybe?? Maybe try a different oil to see if it can get a little more life out of your clutch. I know my F4i hated synthetic when I ran it through it once. Clutch slipped, lifters sounded horrible.... Then I changed back to regular old Dino oil (Honda GN4) and it was a whole new bike. Stuck with Gn4 since.

It is an eight year old bike which will need maintenance.Much cheaper than a new bike.If an oil change doesn't help the clutch scruff up the discs.Your season is great compared to my empty garage.

I Ride: Anything i can get my hands on

buying a new bike dont exactly mean problem free either. We bought 2 brand new four wheelers several years ago and had nothing but trouble with them for the first year and a half we owned them.(it was mostly electrical problems). Even though they were covered by warranty, they spent about as much time in the shop as they did out riding.

This I know. I've been down that road. I had planned on buying a new bike anyway. I am just not planning on buying for a while yet.

Your correct it is better then an empty garage. Sorry about that by the way, I didn't mean to strike a nerve if I did. I know you have had a rough go lately.
As far as scuffing up the fibers. Well if I have to pull the pack out I am putting a new pack in. I am just not going to go through the effort only to find out I have to do it again. I have a buddy with a spare pack he will send me.

I am going to check all the Hydraulics tonight and change the oil to see if it helps. I am not sold on the oil causing the problem but I am going to change it anyway. I have been using the same oil for the last four years in this bike and never had a problem before. It could still be the issue but I really don't think so.

That would be ok cause yours is a good looking bike also. The only problem is (from what I hear anyway) that you don't have as much done to your motor as I do. So that being said I would have to swap motors and then be in the same position with a different bike. hahahaha

I Ride: 06 GSX-R1000, 01 Yammy V-Turd 650, and 1979 Honda CM 185 Twin Star putt putt project

I'd let you snag the GSXR for a bit Cory, but while putting the new speed sensor on, I discovered a bigger, more expensive problem. Atleast I got the truck up again first tho. You can borrow the Honda tho
