Broken generator

I have a Honda eu1000i generator that had a broken spark plug, I removed the busted plug and replaced it, still won't start, I don't know enough mechanically to fix it, anyone wanna a case of beer to get this thing running for me.

Honda gens have a low oil safety switch that kills the ignition and keeps it from starting.
I'd check the oil...
just sayin'

Yeah I forgot to mention that I changed the oil out. Good advice though.

you can pull the plug and attach it to the lead and see if it sparks when you turn it over. That will confirm or eliminate spark problem.

Pull start? I believe there are magnets on the fly wheel that pass by a pickup to induce spark. Like the old distributor caps back in the day. Could be the pickup is going bad or the cable is shot. might be working as advertised because if the engine doesn't make a full revolution each time you pull you wouldn't get spark anyway. Are you gettting fuel? Is the fuel shutoff working? Could be stuck or broken. Sorry I can't be more help. i would have to look at the thing to be of more assistance.

Are the spark plug wires covered with carbon build-up?

Fuel is getting to carb. No corrosion on any components. I'm looking for someone to take a look at it. It's probably something simple.

pull the plug and spray carb cleaner or starting fluid directly in the cylinder, connect spark plug and wires and see if it attempts to start.

Do you have the manual or have you looked at one online?
Besides the low oil safety switch, some have a tip over switch too.
If you turned it up on it's side to change the oil, you may need to reset the tip over switch.
That's all I've got,
Tilos
