Be careful with the 55w's on the gixxer. Have heard a few stories of them melting the plastic lenses of some bikes from just getting too warm. I run the 35w in a 6k range and my lights light up the night very well!!

Alaskacal, good job on the upgrade, you'll love them!

Since I have 2 different bulbs I have to buy to single setups instead of the one dual setup Of course my bike would be difficult and take the more expensive route

Oh quit your beachin!! Most bikes require the 2 ballast system, just be glad you're not ridin a 929 or 954, those require a 3 ballast setup...lol

just order the dual ballast system for 2 lights, one high one low, these things are so bright that even if you have dual low and dual high, you won't need them. The triple ballast system is totally redundant when you have that much light.
I run 5000k on all mine for a bright white light.
On the website they have a color comparison for the gauge of color that you order.

The extra visibility during the day is also worth it.
They are lifetime replacement through DDM
I lost a Ballast, they replaced, no questions asked. Just have to send the old on back.
even the bulb I lost couple years ago after a wreck, they still replaced it.

I Ride: with dubious judgement, but niceness

HOLY-HORSE-HOCKEY!!.....I thought the kits were WAAAAY more expensive than that!!
I just ordered 'em up for both the FJ1200 (glass HL lens) and the V-Sled.
Safety in the daytime works for me, I don't ride too much at night, but it's gettin' to that time of year when I get caught out after dark more often.
Thanks for sharing the link!!

I think the link for the comparison is broke. I tried last night and it wouldn't work.

My bitch isn't that I need 2, it's that because they are different bulbs, instead of getting the dual ballast setup for like $35ish for the pair, I have to buy 2 single setups for like $25ish each

They have been great to work with for me.

I was just going off what the site said.

- A motorcycle HID kit with two ballasts and two bulbs. The bulb types and bulb colors can be different to fit your motorcycle (If you need 2 different bulb types or colors you will need to order 2 single HID kits).

But I will definitely ask. But even for the extra $10, it's still cheaper than the others. Cyclegear had some on clearance that were like $50 per ballast/bulb

I have some of these, been sitting in the box since March...not looking forward to the tear down. I think I have to mount the ballast' to the intake, gonna be a pain. They look great though!
