Is anyone running a Balance Master engine balancer on there Sportster? What is your opinion of these units? http://www.balancemasters.com/ Thanks in advance. JC Last edited by trainman; 09-22-2012 at 08:24 AM. |

Does it "balance" or just add additional rotating mass to dampen the vibration? I'm not sure how you could simply add additional rotating mass to an assembly and call it balanced. Do the inserts magically know which side of your rotating assembly is light and the perfect amount of mercury concentrates on that side...doubtful. Seems similar to adding weighted bar ends, they dampen the vibration due to the greater mass. The vibration is still there, just not as noticeable to the rider. Waste of money. If you don't like your sporty's vibration get rid of the bike. That's the only fix. Mine vibrated like a mofo. I could barely see at stoplights due to the vibration but it was fine while rolling along.
