Does sound cool, but wouldn't buying a 200xc-w be easier?

Easier, YES....but its also more expensive for a 200XCW or EXC that is as new of a model as I would want. Plus I enjoy building hybrid bikes. I want me a "KXD200" or "KX200D"...

Someday I will have a 200XCW in the stable but the KDX is never going anywhere. Its just way too versatile of a bike that treats me right every time I get on it and it is tame enough that my sister and my dad can ride it comfortably.

I agree the kdx is all around easy...

Would a ktm be easier? I suppose if you had money.

KX220 hybrids can be built for less than $2000.
