Re: Pilot Power Group Buy

So everyone knows what's going on.

I'm checking on a group buy price for Michelin's.

It may be that we can order any size and any type of Michelin tire for a GB discount or we may have to order the exact same set. Then of course if you won't be at the track we'll have to get them mounted. Maybe we could ask for a discount from someone to mount all these sets. I doubt the big dealers would do it. Are there any smaller shops that mount and balance that I could talk to about this?

After we get the details we will set a time line. Most likely myself or someone else from Boise will pick them up at a track day or race & bring them back so we don't have to have them shipped.

If anyone needs tires, it is definately ME!!! LOL..

several friends work for the tire shops around town, I will hit one up and have him send the word down the line about Dismount/Mount Balance.

Re: Pilot Power Group Buy

Ryan, when you talk to Scott, can you see if he can get the Pilot Road 2 as well?
I'll be throwing a 120/70/17 and 150/70.17 on my 610 at a price of $283 (to my door) but am curious if Scott can beat that price.

Nope... I haven't heard back yet. I'll bug him again today if I get a chance. I'm debating selling my SS lines and HH pads for GP lines and Carbon pads so I need to talk to him about pricing on that anyways.

Re: Pilot Power Group Buy

any updates on this? I have only recently started riding again and I was informed by Arwen and Flashpoint that i was going to have to replace these tires at the end of the season anyway. So would be best to get a jump on tires for next spring.

Re: Pilot Power Group Buy

Sorry I didn't come back and post up. Basically we're looking at $210 for PP's. Because there are a number of different sizes I'm just leaving it at $210 and that could go up or down $10 or so depending on size.

Re: Pilot Power Group Buy

Plan on the following prices for Michelin Pilot Power and Pilot Power 2CT tires.

Pilot Power
$250 -F- 120/70/17 -R- 180/55/17 (typical on 600cc bikes)
$275 -F- 120/70/17 -R- 190/50/17 (typical on 1000cc bikes)

Pilot Power 2CT
$280 -F- 120/70/17 -R- 180/55/17 (typical on 600cc bikes)
$300 -F- 120/70/17 -R- 190/50/17 (typical on 1000cc bikes)

If we do a group buy, we should get at least five orders. From there, Ryan or I can call Scott @ Fastline with the order. The simplest would be to have Scott deliver the tires to someone hitting the track on October 12th.

are these just the prices that fastline holds constantly or is this with a group purchase of 5 sets or more?

I'll talk to Scott to see what his lowest price is but it will be very close to this even for a group buy. The group buys make it easier for us and Scott because we can them all at once and not have to deal with shipping costs.
