LED Blinkers

This is a website I found long ago and thought I should share it with others. You can use this to do a lot of custom LED work, not just pegs. It is very thorough and well done. I will be doing this on my bike sometime in the next few weeks so if anyone wants to give it a shot let me know.

Re: LED Blinkers

Soldering gun - Check
Passenger pegs - Check
Local Radio Shack - Check

I've thought about a way to get rid of my rear pegs, but unfortunatly my exhaust is attached to the right one. I will be doing this mod shortly.

Re: LED Blinkers

I just ordered 50 LEDs and 50 resistors which is more than enough for a few bikes so I got you covered there. Just have to wait until they get here from Hong Kong.

Re: LED Blinkers

Very nice idea. I will have to take a look at my bikes to see if there is somewhere else to do the same type of treatment. I don't think that my passenger pegs are the type that would allow that.

I hope the LED's are good quality and don't go out because it looks like it would be hard to replace one.

Re: LED Blinkers

Might be a dumb question, but does this compromise the strength of the foot pegs?
I like 'em round, and big
And when I'm throwin' a gig
I just can't help myself, I'm actin' like an animal
Now here's my scandal

I would like to do this...

Re: LED Blinkers

Shane make sure when you are drilling holes in the pegs, that they are straight. My dad has a mini drill press that we could use. I did something similar to this on my TLR. Go on the web and look up LED calculator and it will tell you exactly how to wire them in a series with the correct resister with the amount of volts running to your blinkers.

Re: LED Blinkers

What LEDs did you have on the Tiller? I don't remember LEDs. As for the risistors, the LEDs I ordered are coming with the correct resistors for a 12V system.

Re: LED Blinkers

If you're looking for LED's, this sight has a lot of them to choose from and seem priced well... I ordered some of the blue LED's and replaced the dash lights on my old bike...

Re: LED Blinkers

I have a couple of Flasher control packs for LED lights, and the euro style front turn lights that mount at the front of the air intake. If you want to try the control pack let me know, and if it works you can have it.
