Frame/Motor seperation

One of these things just doesn't belong here.

A certain someone on this forum dropped a frame/forks with a motor from a 2001 F4i, (seized motor?) by the house yesterday.
This is what happens when you leave things at my house!

No step by step or instructions, just some pics of the motorless frame or frameless motor.

Do you mean seized or deceased? Never mind, the end result is usually the same.

Lets just say that it would not turn over, and when he tried to pop the clutch it was locked up tighter than a nun in a convent. So, that's all I know. That was till I took a few more parts off and found plastic in the oil, wich is a lot better than metal.

Pieces of plastic in the cam chain! Which also explains the little pieces of plastic that was in the oil.

So I took the "Tensioner (Cam Chain)" out. The naming convention on that sucks! But that is what they called it, as you can see, the plastic was warn away and it was sliding on the metal part of it. You can not tell by the pic, but the metal got so hot that it turned the tip of the metal part of the tensioner black!

I Ride: Buell Firebolt XB12R

My guess is that the cam chain should be replaced also due to the unexpected extra heat from the metal to metal?
