Dirt Bike Carb Needed!! Please Help!

So I've been working on my YZ400F for what seems like for ever now. Long story short the POS needs a new Carb. Does any one have one they don't need or is willing to sale? A new one is $500.00 from Yamaha and I'm not quit ready to brake down and buy a brand new one, although I will if I have to. The bike is a 99 and I'm not sure if a carb off a 426 or something close will work. Any help would be much appreciated.

I believe the 400, 426, and 450 all use the same carb just different jetting. I will search around. Also try this site http://usedmotorcycleparts.net/. I found a stator for my old 2002 CRF450R for $30 in very good condition.

I just searched. There is only one selection for your carb. The part number for the whole carb assembly is 295097-001.

so did you do something to the carb then that now you can't rebuild or just by parts? should be able to replace parts and pieces of it and avoid replacing the entire thing unless its super fubar

i have got a 99 yzf400 just sitting around. it has got a blow head on it carb should be okay. i would like to just sell the bike. ALL BRAND NEW PLASTICS, TANK, TIRS, TUBES, AND SEAT COVER. if u r interested give me a call or text 921-2125 chris

Kind of, I let the bike sit for like 2 years and now the part that is F-ed isn't made by Yamaha any more
