Its cool. Between the feeler I threw out on TLPlanet and Stubby's link, i'll get it done one way or another when I have you do my forks.

Its done fine for me, but every TL owner on the board who's ditched it for an Ohlins unit says the factory damper is complete garbage. If I tracked my bike and was more serious, I'd probably ditch it as well.

How difficult is it to switch over to Ohlins? Other than the cost...
I would have to agree that if it works for you, don't change it.

He's the closest thing we have to a local suspension expert. Good guy with a ton of knowledge.

How many other members/riders in the area have had them redone by Bailey? I believe he's capable of it even though only one person has said that they've been done by him recently, but I'm still gonna let him redo my forks anyways because it's a great price and I'm sure he'll do a better job than I could. I'm literally in the middle of convering my 7 from a 5spd auto to 6spd manual, so I'm mechanically inclined, yet I'm still nervous about syncing my own throttle bodies before the riding season.

I emailed that company and told them what I needed done, so we'll see what they say.

I'm sure he can service your forks with no problems, just beware of the gator. Bailey's a good guy, and good at working on bikes.

The gator?

Without going into detail, Bailey and I aren't exactly chum chum, but as long as he keeps his work and our indifferences seperate, we should all be ok. At this point I'm going to have him PC/heatcoat my headers and pipes as well.

baliey knows his shit back to front i'd rather have him do it than a shop thats gonna rape me. i was quoted 134$ a side just in labor not parts included. i got my bike back a week ago and have done a shit load of wheelies on the new seals and not a single leak, and it handles great

So I found this from one of the more prominent members on TLP who has a TLS...same bike basically, just open fairings and less HP. I've replied to his thread about modying the damper to see if it's the same for the TLR, along w/ adding the pics from steps 5 and on so the writeup is finally complete.
