Is this a Taylor Made, or do you have a better picture?

are the gsxr1000 header pipes larger in diameter than the 600/750's?

I'd go Blizz's route if you can find one cheap on ebay or something....

If you are doing this simply for looks, then keep the cat so you won't need a power commander. If you are doing it for performance then get a full system however it won't give you anything on the street so its kind of pointless unless you ride in the upper rpms.

When it comes to exhaust, stick with brands like yosh, akrapovic, arrow, etc. Going with these no-name companies you typically end up with crap. Been there and done that.

As for the 1000, exhaust, yes you could make it work but you don't know what it is going to do to your bike for low/midrange or even on the top end. Exhaust for the 600/750 is interchangeable from 06-09.

If you go with the 06/07 headers on Ebay ($50-$75) you can purchase a slipon for a 06/07 model and it will delete the cat. Our ECU's are mapped for the cat, so if you remove it you will need a fuel controller. I would send you to carls so they could remap it on the yosh box but they told the last person they couldn't do it, even though it can be done.

The bike did come with a PC3, so that should not be a problem. As for the performance side of it, I would not want the bike to run like crap. It is more for the look, I like that gp stealth look....if that is what it is called.

well i guess looking at other bikes, I like the looks of the 06/07 stock pipe. I have not found anything else yet, so maybe that will be the way I will go. But I do want to cut the cat out to make it louder too.

If you go the 06/07 route then there is no cutting required as the after market pipe comes with a mid pipe that deletes the cat.
