two brothers header

so i just bought a two brothers header for my 954, it doesnt have a slip on or a mid pipe that come with it . i do how ever have a two bros bolt on on my bike now. i figured a good welder could build me a mid pipe with a flange so i can bolt my can on to it instead of having to buy a new setup. however i was wondering if getting rid of stock would change things make my bike run like shit sense it wont be dyno tuned any thought or knowledge would be cool.

Its 2Bros, so your bike won't be any more messed up than it already is. What is the difference between the headers? I would dyno your bike as normally aftermarket headers are tuned for the top end. Either dyno your bike or get a pc v, bazzaz or motty unit that will auto tune your bike.

the stock headers have some kind of flaper door deals built into them the two bros is just a straight 4 into one.

so my 954 has a flapper deal on it with the cables that hook into it. from what i have read there in there for noise reduction. there is a certian way to set the servo motor so it doesnt throw a code and have the fi light on all the time. going to a full exhaust i will have no were to hook this up at. have any of you ever done a flapper delete mod?

I'm not sure about Honda, but the SET valve is what Suzuki calls that. It is there to provide better response on the low end.

Akrapovic makes a bracket that attaches to the servo motor to make the ECU think that it is still connected. You could fab up something like this or order one. The other option would be to pull the correct wire from the ECU. I haven't looked on Yoshi's web site but they gave detailed instructions for the gixxers on which wire to pull in the instruction manual that you can download.

with my yamaha's exup/flapper...whatever you want to call it....all i did was remove the cabling and left the servo connected so the actual servo motor can still move....NO CODE.....there is something i can buy to make it so i can remove the servo all togethe but i dont care if its up in there so i dont bother...

oh...and stay away from two brothers cans....they are just flat annoying.....kind of like all the ricer low riders that put giant fart cans on their cars.....

I follow a simple rule even though a lot of people will say they know plenty of people who don't tune, even themselves may not have... If I was to even change the slip on I would get a PC3 or similar & a map. So for headers I would for sure tune it.

I took the flapper off my bike when I put the 2BRO's slip on on I had a code till I put a PCIII on and then the PCIII took over for the code and prob solved. But I would say that if I was you I would get the Bazzaz like Lazy J we put that thing on and had his bike tuned in like 3 hours all together way worth the money and time but I cant remember if it took care of his code issue or not. you will have to ask him.

LazyJ's Code was resolved by reconnecting the electrical wires to the servo so the servo motor could continue to move without the actuating cables installed...
