Dyno tuning?

My new exhaust and pc3 should be here this week so I need to get the bike tuned next week. preferably before the 9th. Does anyone Know of a good place? also if you know prices and approximate turn around times that would be great.

Back when I was looking I was told the best place would be Big Twin on Orchard. But that was a couple years ago that I was looking so who knows now.

I know it's the wrong way to do it but, I have never "dyno tuned" my bike. I have always just done it the old school way of running it and changing things as it needed (IE more fuel here or less fuel there).
Again I know this isn't the proper way to do it and I know that there could possibly be an extra hp or 2 to be had if done on the dyno but it works for me.

Cheese and Rice pimpit how many peoples opinions do you need??

I know youve asked Chris and Jeremy this question at least 14 times each.
You need to get your 60s down before you do anything. A fast bike doesnt make fast ETs, the rider does!

I want to get it tuned for the mods I did on it. I wasn't asking opinions on if I should I was asking for peoples experience with different places

Dude unless you have some super crazy setup, I would go with the matching map from gixxer.com. Im not familiar with the site but Kawiforums and r1forum both have a thread with tons of maps. A lot of them are posted by guys that had their bikes dyno tuned.

Correct me if im wrong and Im POSITIVE that you will but, If you have a BMC race filter, full Yosh exhaust with a PCIII, running someones dyno map would have to get you within a few horses of a $200 tune.

I do know elevation is a factor but not a $200 one IMO..

Did the same with my FZ1 there be tons 'O' maps for free. That's 200 bones cheaper and the right one will get you pretty close.

You are very right. Not quite the setup I'm running but I am sure I could find a map reasonable close. But I would like to see what it dynos at. This is the first time I have had the chance to go all out on my bike and customize it to be what I want, so if I go a little over board I'm okay with it. Hell in the last 2weeks I've almost put into it what I paid for it.

I agree with Gem State ST. I personally know Todd and he has been through a factory certified Dyno school. He use to work for Fred up at Big Twin, and is known as a Dyno specialist. Pro Power is doing a dyno days on Satruday July 17th, that would be a great day to check them out if you have not been there before. BBQ, beer garden, music, swap meet and the dyno shootout. Open to the public. More info at http://propowerperformanceboiseidaho.com/
