haha i may just bring it inside for the night. and yes it was a tense moment when i started it. last time the knocking was still there and it was the stupid crank. so to all you kawi owners, check your baskets unless you want to go through what i just did. the rivets will pull through the back and shear off causing thousands in damage.

I didn't know there was anything wrong with the kawi. So it's been knocking for 2 months and 2600 miles? Can I get a background story?

the rivet pulled through the back of the basket and sheared off. its a common kawi problem if you do some research on it. it bent a few teeth on my crank when it all detonated and was causing a strange knock. at first i thought it was the bearings but it turned out to be the crank itself. and it wasnt 2600 miles, it cost 2600 dollars in parts to make the noise go away

Why didnt you just go with a louder exhaust to make the noise go away?

It wasn't caused by spray. He hasn't put a system on it yet

I didn't see anywhere where he said it was caused by spray. And I've seen boost completely DESTROY plenty of motors. Not to mention you can close a bottle if you don't want to use it. Can't do that with boost.

as i said in an earlier post, it was caused by a rivet pulling through the back of the basket and shearing off, not from spray or turbo or anything else. (kawi makes a weak ass clutch basket.) everything else was carnage after that
