Ok so today while Iceman and i were toying with his Nighthawk, my VFR's headlight decided to take a crap. This is the second time this has happened, but the first time you'd get the highbeams, not the lows. now its just not working all together. went to schucks and had them test the bulb, only to be told it was fine. checked connections and they seemed to be intact. So does anyone else by chance have any ideas as to why my VFR is being an ?

Checked the fuse, not the relay due to the fact that i didn't have the manual with me at that time. I am going over to mess with it more tomorrow. didn't wanna risk the night stick patrol killing me.

Well i used a multi-meter today and there is electrical current going to the plug in for the light. Plus i checked all my wiring and it seems to be fine. Apparently its just the plug. So does anyone have a spare light bulb?

have you checked you contact points? I know, sounds so simple, but it is the simple details that are usually over looked. |

So we fixed the bike. 84VFR750 and I spent the day tearing our bikes apart in the same driveway for fun. Got his headlight fixed. It was one of the glass fuses. it was intact but the metal cap had become loose and non functional.. I will never forget the first words when the headlight came on.... not eureka! not YAY! not "about effin time" Rather 3 days tearing it apart, testing wires, reconnecting wires, repeat etc all summed up in the first words of.... "MOTHER #######" My god was that a youtube moment ![]() ![]() I on the other hand, am still on the quest for a regulator rectifier fix or hoping that it is such that is causing my non-charging issue |
