Nail in rear tire

Well, when I rolled by bike out of the garage this morning, I noticed a 1/2" piece of nail sticking in my tire. I pulled it out, and it was about 1/4" in.

It's not all the way through so no air is coming out, however it is right in one of the tread groves.
Looks pretty ground down, so it may have been there for awhile.
Safe to ride or no?

Well, after throwing some soapy water on the hole, I get a single slow bubble rise up every time. So I guess it is a very slow leak.

I might consider plugging it if I just commuted, but not for ridding the loop.

Darn tire only has a couple hundred miles on it.

That sucks! Lil Schmitty probably has some used tires like he always does. Not sure though. Just a thought.

Plug it and patch it from the inside. Unless its near the outer part of the tire theres no reason to not use it on the loop
