ducati maintenance

Ok I had a good idea of what I was getting into, but does anyone do their own maintenance on their ducatis? I am ok on the easy general stuff, but how involved is it to check/adjust the tension on the belts? The valves will be left for the dealer. I do not have the service manual yet that is why I am starting here. Thanks!

It is a 2007 1098 that may see some track time.

OK, I may not be much help there, mine is a DesmoDue, don't know much about the DesmoQuatro motors.

I don't do my own maintanance. I don't have the time. I like to ride, not wrench. Oddly enough though, I do love to modify and am happy to turn wrenches to do it. Call me lazy.

Check out Cyclone Cycles! I know for a fact they work on Ducatis.

Cool I will have to check them out. I should be able to get through the easy stuff, and I have thought about just sucking it up and taking it to SLC. They have done all the other work on this bike.

Just have them do it. There labor is WAY cheaper than any other shop! and you wont have to travel.

I am in Twin Falls so I will have to travel either way. The difference is it is about an hour and forty mins to boise compaired to 3-3.5 hours to SLC.
