Talking All mechanical needs done here

Hi everyone and thanks for reading this. First of all let me say that anyone who needs service work done on their bikes knows it can get costly real quick. So let me say that I am offering to help with this and so much more. I am a factory certified motorcycle mechanic. I am certified in the big 4, i.e. Honda Yamaha Suzuki and Kawasaki. I can help keep or get your ride up to par. I can even set up race bikes and tune them to your liking. I also set race sag on your bike with you on it so the suspension is set to your weight and riding style. Anyways if you would like you can email me at elvearcher25@yahoo.com and we can talk. Thanks for reading this and thanks for this site.

How much would you charge to clean and sync carbs on an 84 V-Four Interceptor?

Well for starters my name is Nate for all that are wondering. Now as for doing carbs on your VFR I would say $10 to no more than $20 depending. I would need to see them first to give you a better quote. As far as the chain, are you doing a R&R with it or removing a link. A change of chain and sprockets would be $25 for my labor. I am guessing that you already have the new replacement parts. I would also need to know what the specs are for the chain slack but that is a easy thing to get. If you want to call me you can. The best number to get a hold of me on is my cell and that number is 623-806-4958

That is great, another place to think of taking bikes to and help keep cost competitive.

My only issue is, Nate, you made mention about spec on chain slack, yet you state you can setup a bike for a person such as race sag? That confuses me, not a knock, but maybe some clarification before I would consider sending anyone I know on a bike to you. You sounded knowledgeable to me at first, but then it sounded like a newbie comment about the chain.

the sprocket is already on. I run 2 different chains, one for my drag setup and one for my street setup. All I need is to beak the one chail and press the other on. I can have everything else done before it comes to you. The problem I have is that both my cains are rivet links and nobody sems to have a chain press

I think he was asking what the slack for his specific bike is. It's not always the same for every bike known to man and I doubt even WD has them all memorized... I could be wrong!!

you are correct, but how many times have you taken a bike in to a shop and the mechanic ask what the chain spec is? At least fake it till you make it. LOL

I wouldn't expect him to have all the manuals for all the bikes like I would a shop though. My ability to repair a bike or dial in suspension isn't dependent on having the same resources as a dealer. Hence, it's cheaper to get work done from him than a dealer who has to put money into manuals, etc.

OMG, you are arguing to argue! You of all people know www.google.com knows all! you can get almost any book for any bike, manual, service manual you want online if you just look! FREE! GERRR

Obviously the owners manual is going to have "an exact" measurement for chain slack, but 1 to 1.5 inches of slack is usually pretty sufficient. Real hard to look it up too...LOL

PFFF I know! I think he knows this too which is why he said it's easy enough to get.

Now that was awesome! LMAO

all I was saying was for a guy that really should win business over from bike riders, that statement was not the way. The point of him on here, along with the other 2 or 4 shops on here, is to share why it would be better to go to him. Ok, so he is less expensive, well is it really less expensive when I take a tire to a shop that has a good rate to change it, but they scratch the crap out of my powder coating? NO. Now you are making it sound like I am saying he is a bad choice to go to, and I am NOT saying that all. I am just asking for the reasons I should suggest to others to go to him......
