I will post some nice before and after pics. Oh and one more thing I have wrecked every bike I have ever ridden I dont think its bad luck its just experience forceing itself on me. That or Im just a squid avoiding disaster. yeah thats it the squid part. In the mean time Im going to head back to the casino and try to earn more money for my paint job!

Welcome to the board, Bud!
I'm glad you've been having warm weather down there because its been kinda crudy here lately. GR8Dane and I just got back from a nice evening ride through Emmett and Horseshoe Bend. I even went in full leathers so that I can get used to it before heading to Utah for track days in April and May.

Welcome to the BoiseRiders!!

We've only been up for a couple weeks now and are still tuning a few things but it looks like we're gaining members faster now. We'll be setting up more group rides and maybe a few get togethers as spring/summer are upon us so check back often.

Hey all, new here. I'm not much of a fast guy and prefer to ride as described in "The Pace". I usuallly do a few longer trips per year and many day trips of 200 - 500 miles. My favorite thing to do is hit the road early on a summer weekend morning and go somewhere. This year I'd like to explore Oregon a little more.

Here's a link to The Pace in case you've never run across it.

Welcome to the site!

I'm hoping to do a couple longer rides in the mountains this summer so please post up when you're going and wouldn't mind some company.

I'll post a link to "The Pace" in the Reading Materials section (within "Newbies") for everyone to see.

c) 12 years with a few interruptions

d) Commute, Idaho City, Horseshoe Bend/Emmet loop

My riding style is pretty moderate. I regularly ride with a couple buddies every weekend (SV650S, Vulcan 750). We pick a route and head out after breakfast, or stop in Idaho city and eat if we are heading in that direction.

Thanks! I will post before going on one of those day runs. The run to Challis is fun.

I had to check a map to find where Challis is but it does look like a fun ride.
The road to Idaho City can be fun if you aren't stuck in traffic doing 45mph. I've driven a few of the roads up past Idaho City in that area and was really wishing I had my bike at the time.

It will be a new thing to not take the left to Lowman

Used to just commute every now and then...but now that my car died , its my only ride, which isn't entirely all bad. Love the ride to bogus and Donnelly. We've got a cabin up next to the new Tamarack Resort. Not only are the curves on the way up fun, but feeling the 10 degree drop in weather during the hot summers make the ride twice as nice! Oh ya, been dirt bikin since 14 y/o.

Re: Boise Roll Call

Glad to have you on board, Mike!

Feel free to bring your dirt buddies over too. We're lacking in that area right now. The site has ony been up for about a month so we're not doing too bad actually. I wanted to find more people to ride with and help the locals share information so I figured I'd just go ahead and start a site

I ride to work and BSU. I ride to Lowman where I have a cabin. Never done Bogus yet. Soon though. Let me know when you guys go up there. I have been up snowboarding hundreds of times, but have never taken my cycle. The lowman route is by far my favorite since I know almost every turn and chamber of the road.

Re: Boise Roll Call

If you do go up Bogus be very very careful. Firstly of LEOs who camp out in the drive way of the house at the top of the first short climb and more importantly SAND! It will be everywhere and it will be there for a while. Personally I don't ride Bogus until later in the year.

You never been up to Stanley? It's nice, not very twisty but fun enough (watch for deer!) and the Sawtooths are gorgeous. From Stanley to Challis is another hour 1 way and that road is pretty fun in spots and there's not a lot of traffic. Round trip up and back is around 458 miles I think. There are lots of good 400 mile loops around here if your into that distance.

Re: Boise Roll Call

I'll keep my eyes peeled. The first few trips up will be nice and easy, see how the road is.

I have never been up past Bonneville hotsprings. Don't really know why. Just ride up to my Cabin. Never really went out with other riders to make a loop. Hopefully this summer.
