you didnt know what vendors, so you wait until 7 hours and 15 minutes before an event to post it? That really makes no sense!

Kind of a shame too, you really should have had it on another night, since plans have been in the making for the last several weeks to go to BOP Bike Night, and or meetup for Shaved Ice.... Next time, it might be a good idea to post when you know of a date, instead of waiting to find out on the vendors... Best of luck, and hope your followers have fun and its a good turnout.

Actually, I am kind of bummed, sounds like you have a good event finally, and I normally dont attend your events, because they have SUCKED for the last couple years!

I knew the date well ahead of time. Your right I should have posted sooner. The date was also mailed out on out flyers we mail out every month. I have just noticed if I post something with out all the information it still gets a luke warm response. We are working on improving our functions I know we have at least one more of these happening this summer. Hopefully we will see you at that one. I'm sorry you have had a bad experince with us like to see come in even if its not for one of our bike nights.

haha, cycles gears reputation improves more and more! I thought my experience with you guys was shitty, but you guys keep improving! I thought bike nights were intended to say thanks to your customers and bring in more business, but if you guys clearly don't care, why should the public even visit you outside of bike night.

Its pretty sweet that Idaho is getting more and more stores/shops, I hear great news about other places!

I Ride: Lets leave it at that.

Yup, will not be attending this or any cycle gear bike night. Sean your manager (chris) is costing you business and support from the street riding community. I just stopped in for some parts that unfortunately smaller shops don't normally stock on hand, but because of cycle gears corporate backing and cycle gears ability to carry excess inventory I was left with no option but to shop with cycle gear. After finding what I needed and at the checkout I inquired about the 30% off speedmetal and without even looking at me chris told your employee that was helping me that discount was only good "during" bike night from 7-9, and if I wanted that discount I can come back then. And then promptly walked off. Well from now on last resort or not, Seth from Moto One or Dennis at Cyclone gets 100% of my business. And I will be E-mailing cycle gear corporate about the abhorish down right rude customer service from your establishment.

And on a final note, I guess I shouldn't be surprised by how I was treated, since when did you do away with your motorcycle parking?? I parked just to the left of the door and a truck promptly parked right next to me in what used to be for motorcycles only. I guess 2 customers in cars are more important than say the 8-9 bikes that can fit in the same area.

I remember my first great impression.
A certain person there denied to go get me my jacket that came in the mail because he was really busy trying to help a female customer who clearly didn't want help. This guy told me he was to busy and they will not get to it. Then I come home and get a phone call couple hours later saying my jacket was there. Pathetic if you ask me, I paid for that shit and they refused to give me what was mine because this guy was trying to get laid...

I think I am gonna jump on Mikeys wagon here too...

I have yet to be able to walk in and purchase what I went in looking for, it had to be ordered... I can get better deals on the WWW, or just deal with others for the same WPS ordered parts directly and save money... The local Cycle Gear better step up the game and show some real customer appreciation, or I see it losing even more customers..

I came in to look at some riding boots after tracking someone down I asked how long the sale was going to last, I was told it would continue for a week. I came back 3 days later to get the boots I looked at and was told that there was never a sale on boots and I must have been mistaken. After getting the boots and a gopro camera a total of 300 plus dollars in stuff I stood at the register for 10 minutes while the employees bullshited and wandered around the store. I'll never go back for any reason.

I tell ya, Moto One in Meridian has it goin on for bike parts. On Monday, my Grandson lost the shifter to his kx-60. Called around, and best price I could get was $45.00, 3-4 days to get it in. Called Moto One, got a shifter for $25.00 and had it in 12 hours.

My only gripe with Cycle Gear is they don't stock enough variety. But I understand that's expensive. I would have no problem paying a little more to get something locally as opposed to online.

The staff has been friendly and helpful anytime I've been in there.

The guy that drives the black mustang tore through a mountain of helmets to find something that fit my wife.

Oh let's go there.... I am a female and I ride and buy things on multiple occasions I have needed assistance or to be rung up so I can PAY and I have had employees look right at me and walk away! I guess the paying female customer doesn't have the right look!!!! I can't tell you how many times this has happened.. I have been dismissed by staff there and gone right next door to SRY and as soon as I walked in someone WANTS to help me. We have had multiple shitty expereinces at cycle gear and with corporate even ...

I STOOD at the register -- you stood behind me ... again my point exactly shitty experience for my husband and the pricing with the boots.... but I (a female) bought 300.00 worth of shit and they wandered around like they were trying to avoid me because I was a girl... ( there were 4 of them available and 2 of them flat out ignored the fact I was standing there when they were less than two feet from me) and on the off chance I get someone to talk to me about products they treat my like I am retarded....

I am not sure if you misunderstood me or think I am talking shit about something. I was there at the store and you were not. This female was attractive but did not need any assistance as she was only browsing. This gentlemen kept attempting to help her just because she was there. I on the other hand needed something and he totally blew me off.
I am not sure what you think has happened here but I meant no disrespect towards women, I would be pissed myself if I were you, but I am talking about a doschebag over at cycle gear that blew me off just so he can get a shot at getting laid.

Again I don't know if you misunderstood my posting or maybe I misunderstood yours, but I honestly meant no disrespect by my post towards women riders.

Have had good experience dealing with you Sean. Other than that, Nothing good to say. The store has pretty much no selection for gear anymore, other than CG brand crap. Went to look at gloves a month or 2 ago, saw like 2 pair of Astar, a couple others, and the rest was all built. While I was looking for a jacket for my girlfriend, repeatedly said we didn't need help, but this douche continually stared at my girlfriend like a starving fat kid at a piece of cake, and pretty much followed us everywhere (within 5 ft) the whole time we were there.
She has no desire to ever go back in there, and hell, I can get the same sale prices online, and not have to deal with all the dumbasses, and still have better selection. I tried ordering gloves (since I didn't want Bilt crap) and even though they were in the catalog, he said he couldn't order them, and I would have to come back another day. Why the hell do I want to make an extra trip just to order when I can do it from your website? I am sure shipping has to be cheaper than 3 trips from nampa

I wonder why?? I have gone to 3 bike nights there over the years. Always hoping the next one will be better. But they always suck ass. So you will not see me waste my time at one until I see proof that things are starting to happen there.
When I go there I only deal with one person because the others a a bunch of young fuktards that don't know what the hell they are doing.

They lost my business years ago. You couldn't pay me to walk through their doors again:

The management is a complete farce who competes with his staff, directly, for commission and then ensues arguments with his staff over who gets credit for the sale right in front of the customer. This is the most unprofessional behavior I've ever seen in a retail establishment yet.

The trash talk about who is the fastest rider among the staff and management is a complete joke. Boys, let me tell you - you aren't peacocks, put your tails away, they aren't impressive. Furthermore, claiming you are fast doesn't give you an extra "inch" so get over yourselves.

Additionally, there are many who are employed there that flat out give me the creeps. I don't care to be stripped down as soon as I walk through the door.

AND CLEAN YOUR BATHROOMS FOR FUCK'S SAKE! You have a total bio-hazard in there.

Cole, if you are still working there - divorce yourself from this place and move on to a different bike shop, you're the only one there that has any kind of decency.

After dealing with the two Cycle Gear shops in Vegas, I haven't noticed or experienced anything in a negative way of the six times I have visited the Meridian store. Probably because I already know what I'm getting like oil.

Like others have said, I generally stay away from the Cycle Gear Brands, but they have the ablility to custom order just about anything you want, from Sidi to other top of the line brands. I have done it several times. Cycle Gear is great for the general beginning riders when it comes to gear. Most have never put on a helmet, and their selection won't break the bank for someone who finds out that riding a motorcycle is not for them. All the stores even offer a 15% discount towards their gear after succsesful completion of a MSF course, I assume this store would do the same for the Stars.

For me, I find the location convenince, the selection adequate for my needs and I was very happy to see that there was a store here in Boise.

It's not worth the hassle to drive out to the store, order something, then drive out to the store again to pick it up. That's why consumers as a whole shop online. Most online retailers have pretty good return polices as well.

We do have agurements on occasion I agree they should not happen in front of customers. That will be addressed as well. Concerning our trash talking we do joke with eachother, I never have and never will claim to be fast. Vegasrider we do offer a 15% discount to STAR graduates on their first purchase, with in 60 days of completion. I try to be an active member on here so please feel free to PM me concerns and question, but please don't feel slighted if I don't responed immediately for I do not long on everyday. To be honest we have had little to no problems at Cycle Gear. I mostly deal with Sean and he has always been helpful and an all around nice guy. It really surprises me to see this many people having issues with them. I think its hard to deal with any shop locally when you can order parts online from the seat of your computer chair and have them show up at your door....With that said i do try and shop locally for some stuff, only shop that i will not deal with is Carls. Everyone else i try my best to give some business to.

Anytime I have been in the store I've delt with Sean and was treated with respect and got whatever help I needed.
There has been once or twice that I went in and Sean wasn't at work. On those trips I purchased nothing and was ignored by the staff.

I have never had any issues buying things from cycle gear. I usually don't need advice or help with what I went in there for so maybe that has made my experiences better than most. I just hate them undressing me with their eyes while I am in there.

I had this whole big thing typed out about my cycle gear experiences.

Then I realized it don't f-ing mater cause it's only cycle gear. Nobody at cycle gear gives a damn. Sean it's great that you are trying to do the right thing.

Unfortunately, very long, sad story short, I will never patronize cycle gear again. There are so many other places in the valley that actually WANT our business. Cycle gear ain't it.

Nothing personal, but hurry up and LEAVE our community cycle gear. You don't need to be here. I figured corporate would have pulled the plug by now but I guess it's easier to leave dead bloated cow where it is than try to do something with it. That floor space could be much better utilized by someone who understands customer service. As low as my standards have gotten through dealing with cycle gear, it wouldn't take much to raise the bar.

I told Chris (the manager) that I thought they were making a mistake when they started pulling name brand products to replace them with Bilt/Sedici. I understand that's a corporate decision and that Chris has no control over it. Customer service on the other hand is absolutely his responsibility, and based on the comments here he is failing and failing miserably.

Now I find myself in there only if I need oil or something similar, and because it's close to the house.

Sean,
If you're reading these, you'd do well to pass these comments on to Chris, and if he doesn't respond appropriately, then to his boss.

I was wondering if I should even say about my experience in there.
Shane, Shawn, and Cole have always given me the best in service.
Chris has in the past but the last time I had a situation where I had a pair of LIfetime guaranteed Frank Thomas boots that cracked on the brace. When I talked to Chris, he said I would get more out of them by selling them on craigslist. CRAIGSLIST, for lifetime guarantee.
Called corporate, got the real policy, copy of receipt, Shane took care of everything. Gave me his experience with boots, upgraded to a pair of Alpinestars, and that was customer service.

I know Chris is trying to show a profit for the store, but when something just isn't right.
There are 3 people that I will talk to there, and yes they do have some great prices.

I have been to several of the bike night deals there, most of the time they have pizza, one time hot dogs. But it also looks like they are getting better with the nights as time goes along.

As preference of Bike Events go

Birds of Prey is by my house, and they put on a great time. Have demo Bike rides.

Snake River Yamaha usually puts on a great show. But the temps are usually blistering out in front of that store.

I know this is an interesting choice to put up here, but I love when they have the events during the day at High Desert, usually cooler earlier in the day, they have the bike washes. usually free food. demo rides.

Cycle Gear is usually giving away some good stuff, This time was a gift card. I love when they give away the tires, or a Jacket. Am going to need one here soon.

Then our Bike Night, Love the controversy over that, really funny, don't care where, Kuna, Boise, Caldwell, Nampa, Meridian, KK, SC, AC, BK, RB. Just like to see everyone and have fun.

Photorotor comments are being passed on and we are dealing with the situation. Only thing I can suggest is send me pm's with suggestions and concerns and I will do my best within our polices to implment them. They only way I can improve customer service is to know when one of my staff or me makes a mistake so please let me know when a situation arises so it can be delt with promptly and properly. Its hard to rectify a situiation when I find out about it several months later.
