New Place for a Bike Night?!

We were thinking Boise Riders might be looking for a new place for a bike night;
We just opened our new store Discount Motorsports in the old Birds of Prey H-D location in Caldwell--
it has plenty of place to hang out for a bike night...plus conference rooms for meetings if a group needs to get together.

If you're interested, send us a message or visit http://www.discount-motorsports.com

Have an awesome weekend, hope to see all of you for the 7th Annual MDA Ride for the Cure!

Great idea but I think an even better idea would be to let BRN use a designated section of your lot as a stunt practice spot.

Hd is talking about trying to put us sport bikers out @ the once defunct Caldwell store.

It would be received better if it was the meridian store, more centrally located.

Hey Boise Riders!
Thanks to everyone who came out for the 7th Annual MDA Ride for the Cure!
If you missed this amazing ride, we have another one coming up on June 6th.
Idaho Rolling Thunder is a benefit ride for the Wounded Warrior Project, Operation Warmheart & the Idaho Guard & Reserve Family Support Fund--check out all the details at:http:
//www.idahorollingthunder.com

Also, thanks for your interest in doing a sport bike night--a stunt night would be awesome too! If you have any other ideas you want to share, post them here or send them over to info@highdeserthd.com & we'll try to get something riding!
And I know I had mentioned last year of trying to put together an all Bike Night--
or something kind of like "Sport Bikes vs. Harley-Davidson's" (but less West Side Story than it sounds Either way...if you have any suggestions send them over!

Safe & happy riding!!!

I think its pretty cool for what you (HD Squared, HDHD, or HD2) are trying to do...A dealer who doesnt have much to gain by including us...I am certain they have plenty of customer's who dont even wave to us because of our motorcycle of choice...

Kudo's to you High Desert...

What I was thinking in regards to stunting was maybe a dedicated couple days and times where guys could come and practice. For instance Tuesdays and Fridays from 10 am to 8 pm. Just an example but that would spread things out enough where everyone should have an opportunity to play.........legally.

I do understand what your saying but i know I could vouch for HD of any kind that would come down to insurance issue's. reason being is.

1) you would have a bunch of newer rider's trying to do thing and wreak

2) Possibly wreak into object's (building, cars, ect....)

I mean I could go on but the truth of the matter is. go out and practice where you can.

Personally, I wouldn't call hundreds of motorcycles with a police
escort on the freeway an amazing ride. It's more of an amazing
spectacle.

I always thought that motorcycling was all about getting away
from it all. Regardless of how worthy the charities are, these
events have become more like a cattle call.

Why not split that event into something more interesting with
different staging times for several loops, and everyone can
meet at the BBQ afterwards.

Never mind, it's all about making a spectacle out of yourselves.

Duh!

I understand that and was trying to find the Harley dealership that did it somewhere else. They knew there were quite a few local riders that were constantly getting harassed for doing what they love to do so Harley dedicated them a safe spot to ride a few days a week. They had a dedicated section of the lot sectioned off with concrete barriers. I don't know how they got around it with their insurance but it would be a great spot since it's centrally located and they have plenty of unused space. It may be as simple as adding some names to a list and having them sponsor the listed group to be able to practice there. In the sponsorship HDHD provides the spot, pays the insurance, and gets 2 free weekend shows during the riding season. The couple free shows should draw in enough foot traffic to the store that it may possibly pay for itself and then they could send a mobile apparel booth out to any event that the group performs.

I'm just rambling now. Really bored I guess.

Having a designated stunt spots a good idea ad long as its away from buildings cars and other parked bikes. Don't want some new guy try a wheelie and slid into a row of bikes.

An Area to stunt would draw a lot of attention. Waivers would be a must. There is already an area there that would allow for kicking back. Plus free pool games and a putting green. As many times as I have been there, the table is always open.

All in All, this isn't a bad idea.

It's been done before, it's whether "Dave" would help us out or not. DAVE help us out man, bring some more attention to the dealership and let's cross those moto-racial barriers.
