Exactly, my ego is not attached to any vehicle.. Just would like to see an HONEST comparisson in applied torque, between a twin and a 4 banger.

What your wrong about is that there is nothing in the bottom of a large displacement 4 cylinder. It doesn't take me until 4-5k to builld power, my bike is also not stock. As I recall when it was stock your close to right but mine is a different story. It doesn't take much to build power fast out of these bikes. It really only takes the right exhaust and right tune and your tiller is in bigger trouble then you think.
Like I said before I can't talk about a stock busa because its been awhile since mine was, and I can't talk about the 1k because I've never piloted one. What I am saying and the point I'm trying to make is that when you issue an open ended challenge you may be biting of more then you think.
I'm not mocking anyone's bike because I'm a fan of all kinds of bikes, and I'm for sure not saying mine or any busa is the best or fastest bikes around. I'm just saying that no matter what you may think don't make a judgment call about any particular machine until you have experience on that machine.
Good grief man.. Of course I'm talking about the bikes being in stock (relatively) condition for this comparisson and I'm NOT talking about YOUR Busa (talking about A Busa).. Not sure why you feel the need to defend the power/honor of all Hayabusa's..! This ISN'T an ego trip and regardless of how fast someone else' bike is, my tiller is never in 'trouble', and a challenge is NOT a sumation of a person's ability to 'think'. Seriously dude..? And yes I will continue to make 'judgement calls' as I see fit thank-you-very-much.

If you were to actually 'read' what I wrote, the whole idea is for HONEST comparisson, not a challenge.. Drop the ego bro.

PS - I have 3k miles of riding Hayabusa's in California - yes it was stock as my Tiller is.

PPS - if you wanted to compare a Busa to a twin, it would be most 'fair' to compare; the new Duc 1199 to a new Busa.. Which would do better in a 2k rpm pull in 2nd gear to 10k rpm ~ do you think the busa would ever even start to catch up or have ANY chance..?

PPPS - I'm sure there are a handfull of custom tiller's out there that WOULD make YOUR Busa look like a moped, but as I've said a million times before ~ that's not the point here. We're talking twin vs 4 banger in a similar state of modification for riding on the street..!

I'll take you up on this challenge Marcos. But with my stock gearing I make decent power starting around 3k like Cory said. And I also have 4 yrs of technology on my side. with my +3 gearing I can take off from a stop in second gear without much of a stumble too. But it should be interesting though

No I don't think the busa would have a chance against an 1199 in a low rpm roll on. Its not an ego thing and It sure as hell is not a defend this bike against that bike thing. Especially the busa as much as I like my bike Suzuki is falling way behind in the big bike category.
I do agree with you that a twin is a good around town bike, a twin also makes a very fun a capable track bike.
There is not really much more to say. I had said in all my previous post that I wasn't slamming one bike or another and though it may seem I'm trying to defend the busa that's just not the case either. Since all you see in this conversation is an argument instead of what it is ( a conversation ) then I will Just not inject any more of my own opinions.

How is "Full Yoshimura TRC, BMC Race filter, small air box mod, and the base yosh tune on the Power Commander" basically stock?

Basically stock means a K&N filter or something like it - nothing more..

OK fair enough. It was easy to grab that number. I'm on my phone that's what took so long to put those together. Give me a few and I will come up with a different number for ya

This was done by sportbike magazine on a stock '01 busa. At least that's what they claim.

Okay so the next thing to do is create a cc comparison, so whatever the busa makes at x rpm, divide that by 13 and multiply by 10.. That way we'll have an unbiased cc comparison for torque and hp..

I'm tellin ya there is no need to compare the busa. This thread was about the 1k. That's what you need to do the math on. I was only using my bike as an example. I simply dug up the sheets you asked for. The math part of this is all you man.

See attached basically stock. Bmc street filter, slip on, pc3 with wrong map, over heating, and an unknown mechanical problem. But it is a 1k
