Carbonfiber muffler anyone?(dirt)

soooooo... I am in the process of making a carbonfiber muffler for my crf450.. was thinking about trying to make it into a side biz. just seeing if anyone els would want one for their bike/quad. thinking between 200 and 300 for it, which is 100-150 cheaper than what FMF has.

anyway. just getting a feel for what people may want. what do you guys think?

Post a pic of what your finished muffler looks like, people would have a better idea of what they are getting.

Carbon bling on a street bike is one thing but the shape of expansion chambers and bends to produce peak performance is what I look for. So what would be your R&D process/metrics?

A 450 is a four stroke. there shouldnt be too much r&d for a muffler can. the head pipe designs, stock or aftermarket, are already pretty good.

I have something in mind that once I get it finished I am going to Dyno the bike with the current big gun muffler and mine and see what the graph shows. Right now im just doing muffler as I don't have a pipe bender for the header. the smoother the flow the better but I know too much flow can be bad.. so at that time it will be T&E. Another thing is right now it would be a custom deal as I wont have anything other than my bike for mesurments, as far as hanger location and pipe diameter and angle.... having jigs would be awesome lol

From what I've read the bends in a four strokes header doesn't really matter as long as they are not too sharp, unless you have more then one cylinder then you want all the headers to be as Else to the same length with the bends as close to the same location and degree of bend on each header to keep the flow and pressure even. On a single cylinder the big thing is how long the header and muffler are... so depending on what you guys want I could make the muffler longer or shorter...

Once I get something together ill post a pic... right now im having trouble with how im going to make a mould for the end cap ... any ideas would be appreciated
