Big crash on I-84 involving multiple motorcycles

BOISE, Idaho (KBOI) - Emergency crews are responding to a crash that has closed westbound Interstate 84 in Nampa Wednesday evening.

The crash was reported at 5:48 p.m. just west of the Garrity Boulevard overpass.

Idaho State Police say the crash involves a vehicle and multiple motorcycles.

Traffic is being diverted off the westbound interstate onto Garrity Boulevard.

The Nampa Fire Department says several people have been sent to the hospital. Their conditions are unknown.

My mom called.. doing a head count on us. Said it looked bad. Dark blue bike couldn't tell what kind, brown or rootbeer colored cruiser type bike... My mom doesn't know bikes so no better info. She said a white truck was also rolled over. Who ever they are I hope they are ok!!

Hope all is well with the riders. I got several calls from Church friends who saw the cruisers down. I'm happy to say it wasn't me.

Dammit, I wish people would pay better attention while driving. Rush hour is always scary on a bike. That's why I always where bright neon colored jacket's when commuting, even if it is really damn hot outside. Better to be seen, than run over by a bonehead in a cage. My prayers go out those that were injured and a their families.

(Says the guys who's helmet doesn't protect his muffler, much less his head).

I rode by it on my way home from work looked preaty bad left lane was closed off didn't get a good look at the bikes. Had customer tell me that the bikes were slowing for some reason and the truck rearended them. Customer speculated that the truck driver was drunk. I hope the guy pulls through ok. Thats why I wear my gear even in 100 degree heat.

Did you read the post? He DID have a helmet but it cam off during the crash. Not sure how it was attached or whether it was attached at all but he DID have one on.

RIP brother,

Does this now become vehicular Manslaughter? Now that there is a death involved?
