Had a friend that was behind the truck. He said that the sun was in their eyes so bad that they couldn't see the bike. The bike guy laid it down trying to avoid the truck.

So sad! I was just there last night fueling up. Guy must have been going pretty fast into Shady Acres to do the kind of damage it did to the truck. Ride safe!!! They are outto get us!

These kind of news makes me sick. RIP.

Whenever the sun is in a position to effect your or the other driver's vision, you have to take this into serious consideration. I also can never understand the concept of "trying to lay it down." Not sure of any motorcycle safety curriculum teaches that. How about swerving?

Becareful everyone, stay safe. A reminder to us all to always know where, how and what to look for.

Overbraking the rear, wheel steps out, things just happen. Sounds like he got a bit of a highside to get him over and in front of the bike which would explain the "bike pushing him under the truck" bit.

Bummer. I hate riding with the sun at my back.

I Ride: In the dirt

So if memory serves, we are averaging a death every two weeks lately. For a while there it was one or more per week. I damn near got my clock cleaned today on Chinden when a woman pulled over into my lane, I swerved and ht the horn and she swerved back and then refused to even look at me when I pulled up next to her window, and stayed there for a mile or so.

This may be crazy, but I am in favor of these people being charged with vehicular Manslaughter when they are at fault instead of just giving them a failure to yield traffic ticket. These tickets are not raising enough awareness or fear of killing us.

I about got creamed the other day. Pulled up next to her and kicked a pretty good dent in her brand new car. I would like to think that she won't do it again, but these people are morons and are probably too stupid to drive let alone catch on to a clue such as that.

You're really not helping the cause by kicking somebody's vehicle and putting a dent in their vehicle. I know you're upset, but if you ride long enough, you're going to encounter people's mistake. You're also going to come across drivers who will also apologize by pulling up next to you and actually say it and admit it. The question you should be asking yourself is what could you do differently so that it doesn't happen again.

Not saying that you were, but some riders bring it upon themselves for them to get side swiped. I witness it everyday. Riding in black gear on a black motorcycle does not help their cause, or hanging in somebody's blind spot. Try making yourself more visible and position yourself so that you're not as vulneralbe to these type of situations.

I have had my fair share of people making bad lane changes on me or people pulling out in front of me. I'm more upset about myself than I am at them at times. But I always make it a point to hit my 130 decible horn everytime so that they know that they F'd up.

But you are correct, most drivers are morons and are too stupid to drive. Whenever you see any driver talking on the their cell phones or texting while driving is living proof.

I hate to say this again but ID drivers are flat idiots and leo does nothing about it. Where I came from the leo's roasted these idiot drivers with traffic impediment and stupid driving I constantly see out here. I had a dumb female in her full size suv flip me off cuz I asked her to put the phone down after drifting into my lane while texting.

Sadly Sept. is coming up fast. The last couple years I have thought about parking the bike through sept., because for the past couple years it seems to be the month my friends that ride pass away. I have 4 memorial rides thay I know of that I am attending so far for next month. Starting next weekend, it's looking to be one every weekend. Be safe out there, and remember: They are all out to kill you....all the time. It might save your life.

Go ride in Vegas and you will find that the drivers around here are professionals compared to there. At least here they speak & understand english.
