FZR stolen

Woke up this morning to find the bike stolen. It was stolen off Philippi between cassia and overland between the time of 6:45 and 9 am. The license plate is mtb 114 and it has shinko stickers on the frame as well as dyno jet stickers on the rear panels. If anyone spots it, please call me and bpd. I will post pictures as soon as I can.

I was refering to insured for LOSS. In which case: No, its not. Sorry to hear that. At least you won't have to worry about that pesky clutch adjustment now.....

even if you don't have collision, in my opinion, get comprehensive.
That way if the bike is stolen, at least you have money to buy another.

Even bigger question, why an early ninety's FZR? there are hardly any around anymore.

Wow sorry to hear that man. I'm trying to figure out who would be desperate enough to steal an FZR. I'll keep my eyes open.

I Ride: Lets leave it at that.

I know you were trying to sell it Evan, any chance you kept the numbers of everyone who came to look at it?? If there was someone who seemed interested but wouldn't commit to buying it then they may have been scouting it out to see if it could be stolen. Just my opinion but I'd be giving the cops any phone numbers and names you have.

This is exactly why I never let anybody come to my house to look at any of my bikes for sale.

I hope you find your bike man, sorry to hear that.

I've had my house broken into twice, so I know how bad it sucks to get robbed. Cops didn't lift a finger to try to catch them. They wouldn't even take finger prints after I asked them to. You might get lucky if you keep an eye out on CL (or a site like adhuntr that searches all CL).

Too much Sean kinda brutal....Still laughing

I'd watch out tomorrow all us riders that like Japanese naked/standard bikes might come over and take a crap at your works front door step.

Didn't mean any disrespect I guess I was just shocked to hear of that bike stolen. FZR's are good bikes just didn't think of them as a popular target for thieves. Alan a 95 FZR is not a standard or naked its an old school sport bike. You must be thinking of an FZ6R.

You're an EFFING genius. I'd also like to ask what anyone thinks I could get for a stolen Buell? Thinking about leaving mine outside the garage. Oh, 2007 XB 12R Firebolt any takers.....literally?

my bike was stolen last thursday!

dudes this sucks,
my 2006 ninja 250 was stolen on the 23rd off of orchard. The worst part is two days later on Saturday morning I personally found just the frame on the side of the road. Every single bolt was gone! I found just the frame one block from where it was stolen on the sidewalk. Kinda disheartening since all the police would have had to do is patrol the neighborhood to find the frame. I didn't have the chance to look for it until Saturday and I found it in literally 1 minute of looking. I hope the police catch these guys because right now I feel like they have blown me off! I let someone borrow it because their truck broke down so my homeowners insurance won't cover it and I had no other type of insurance on it. I still owe money on it too
It was all black, muzzy full exhaust systems, brand new bridgestone battleax tires(which the shop will tell you won't fit on this bike), the windshield was cracked on the lower right side, the front wrap around faring was also cracked on the upper right side, the exhaust had also melted the bottom of the main fairing. if you see any of these parts be suspicious and give me a call or text. 208-794-5907. Lock up your bikes guys looks like some pros are stealing bikes if they strip em this fast(less than 24 hours).

Seems like the theives live in the orchard, overland area. I suggest caution in that area of town till these idiots are apprehended.

Pretty much that whole area from Curtis down to Vista is a shithole. Well, there are pockets of shitholes all throughout.

True and all though a good idea I can see anyone offering they're bike as bait. The police have bikes in impound that are set to go to auction I'm sure. If they wanted to bait the criminal/s they would do it.

A. Just a theory.
B. Like stated above, who would wanna risk their bike
C. If I did pony up a bike, I hope the cops get there quicker than I do. Dood thing my bike is insured for more than it's worth.

kryptonite cables for when you drive around and lock inside a garage or shed at night.
Which is what I do. And I park at work in front of the window that I sit at.
I am totally paranoid.

Ok so I don't know if this has been said but why not talk to the police about a sting setup on a well-insured, low jacked and staked out bike. It might be something worth looking into. Even if the cops had a bike they confiscated they could use. It's worth a try. This is the 3rd one this month.

I agree. I wrecked a bike the first time I used a disc lock, no chance of using that again. Lojack is really helpful at telling you where to find the carcass of your ride, although with a greater chance of catching the pukes who stole it. At the end of the day, insured is peace of mind worth paying for.

So i got word that my bike was seen in the Nampa/Caldwell area this morning by a friend. They did call the cops, but no luck yet. I guess whoever was riding it was wearing a blue jacket. Like that narrows it down....NOT! But at least its a start. My GUESS is they had another ignition put in, had a key made, or just hotwired it. Who knows. But if anyone in that area could keep an eye out i would appreciate it!
