Motorcyclist runs out of gas during 130 mph chase

TIGARD, Ore. -- Police arrested a Tigard man early Thursday morning after an extensive chase that started in the Tualatin area and ended in Albany.

Late Wednesday night, Tigard police saw a motorcyclist speeding southbound on Highway 217, near 72nd Avenue.

As officers followed the motorcyclist, he entered southbound Interstate 5 and an Oregon State Police trooper attempted to stop him.

The motorcyclist rode over 130 miles per hour southbound, using all four lanes to maneuver through traffic, said Oregon State Police Lieutenant Gregg Hastings.

Finally, at 12:39 a.m., the motorcyclist came to a stop on the inside median of Interstate 5, where troopers arrested the operator, 27-year-old Gary Allen Smith. According to the trooper at the scene, Smith stopped because the motorcycle had run out of gas.

Smith was taken to Washington County Jail, where he was lodged for reckless driving and felony attempt to elude on a vehicle, Hastings said. Similar charges will be filed in Clackamas, Marion and Linn counties.

Oh sure! He had fun alright. But minutes after the pic was taken, we got to meet his new cellmates Dwight "the twink feltcher" Robertson (serving time for raping a dead caribou), and Lenny "the human tripod" Bukowski (serving time for aggrevated sexual assault on 91 yr old twins Ethel and Dotty Jones of Tacoma WA) . Needless to say, he's not smiling this morning.

Most Harley's wouldn't do 130 mph unless you dropped them out of an airplane

Mine will LOL, tested and proved, of course then I have to shift to 6th. Seems to me you have already seen mine do close, and it's pretty much stock.
