Re: The "FTP" attitude & your ignorance.

Hoz, I agree with you completely (what would you all expect?).

I have been dinged for numerous things over the years (nothing in the last 15 or so years, but then again, I am an old man).

Too low of an exhaust and no front plate on my Datsun. The cop was looking for something to pop a "Tuner Car" with. The cop that inspected the bailing wire license plate and exhaust system just laughed, signed off and told me to have a good day.

The six cops that showed up in 4 squad cars to pin me down after drag racing in Walla Walla (60 plus between stoplights in a 69 musclecar) said I was polite but wrote me up. Judge later dropped a reckless to negligent after one of the police officers testified that I was very cooperative. Kept my license.

Was on a first name basis with several local officers when our son was a "problem" and they were all nice.

Had a Washington State trooper pop me for speeding and found a concealed 357 Mag. Was very nice and ended up not giving me even a speeding ticket.

An off duty cop stopped to help my wife with a flat tire between Mtn Home and Fairfield after dark (scared the crap out of her when he walked up and she saw his holster...).

I could go on, but I think the point of this is that we all run into ignorant, arrogant, obnoxious, #&$%heads in life, it is just that the few people in "authority" that act like they are king of the world taint our impressions of the people that are out there to "Protect and Serve". I support our Police. If I have a problem with them, I will report them to Lynn Hightower...

Re: The "FTP" attitude & your ignorance.

i have known a few good cops, but lately it seems there are more jack ass ones than there are decent ones. they need to stop acting high and mighty and remember that they too do exactly what they are accusing us of from time to time. just a couple weekends ago we were downtown hanging out and mr billy bad ass cop comes up and starts harassing us for having more than one motorcycle in a parking space. tell me that isnt being arrogant as all hell

What I meant by the police is that somtimes I don't agree with the law. That is it.
