Ok, so this might be a no-brainer for a lot of you... but after going through another set of gloves in 4 months... I must be doing something wrong. First was a set of leather MotoGP branded gauntlet style gloves. Can't remember the type... it was a Newenough closeout. Those ones lasted me a year and they ended up tearing on my right hand through the palm. Decided I'd go with a more expensive set assuming I get what I pay for. Purchased a set of Dainese Hellracers http://www.kneedraggers.com/details/...s--630906.html These were purchased around the same time as I got the new bike. So they are about 4 months old with about 5k miles. I would regularly clean then with a "leather cleaning kit" i picked up at a local store. Of course this only takes care of the outside and I never bothered to do anything about the insides. Figured sweat wasn't gonna kill them. Well it did. Again, split down the middle of my glove on the left hand side. As far as I know... I never touched anything that would rip them. I'd put them on when i saddled up and off as soon as I was done. I wasn't gardening with them; i swear! Suggestions? Is this all i can expect from a set of gloves? This will get as expensive as tires ![]() Granted... they are slightly dirty... but not bad ![]() See... they look almost new still |

Huh odd. I've used Astars leather gloves and Sidi and never had that problem. I don't clean my leathers, that seems to be the only difference. I've heard MotoGP brand stuff does tend to come apart. Hoard, You're gonna have to stop riding. |

I must either have bad luck or just need to stop riding... not I made a purchase today for some Teknic Violators. We'll see how those hold up. http://www.newenough.com/closeouts/g...le_gloves.html Maybe I'll just treat these ones like crap. See if they hold up any better. Maybe I'm babying them too much. |

I bought some new gloves for Shadow for christmas from Cycle Gear. He had them about 6 months and the seam along his thumb just above the strap started coming loose and the leather had started thinning. He took them back to Cycle gear and they traded them out for a new pair. I think he had to shuck out 15 more dollars for them. Since they didn't have the other style anymore. And he didn't like any of the other gloves they had in stock. I would say if you have to buy new gloves Cycle Gear seems to be pretty reasonable with standing behind their products. |

I ordered those from Kneedraggers initially. I emailed them (not expecting them to do anything) Which they didn't... but they did recommend I call Daniese and voice my concerns. They gave me a phone number for their main office in Cali. We'll see what becomes of that. Honestly I'm not going to get my hopes up; probably will blame it on normal wear... |

the astars gauntlets are pretty nice. you should try those for ya next set. (i think sp2+ ?) better than the FT's i am using now. i like my gloves to fit hella tight, so i stretch em out before ripping a hole in the palms. i like to randomly spend money also, so i buy new ish all the time anywho... |

On the Dainese gloves, keep at them, they do stand behind their product. So does Cycle Gear. | |

I called Daniese at the number Kneedraggers gave me. Talked to Andrea who informed me that they dont' do that and all warranty is covered under the re-seller. So I call Kneedraggers thinking OMG...They better not keep sending me in a loop... Well it went smooth. Set up an RMA for me. Said that they will be shipped back to Daniese where they will be repaired or replaced for free. Told me that more than likely I'll get a new set. We'll see... |
