You might check with your own insurance company. They might cover you if you borrow another vehicle. If so, you could take that one to court in hopes of a lesser penalty, possibly avoiding the SR-22.

Re: Cops getting ticket happy?

Oh please. You get a ticket and you have to go to court in 6 or 8 weeks. Plead "not guilty" and you have another four before you have to go to court. Get found guilty, and you either pay, or have to show up once a month or so to show your reciept.

So, you have 6, 8, or even 12 weeks to come up with a hundred bucks for your ticket and somehow this is a big conspiracy to get you? What's unfair about that? The cop is there, the judge is there, the clerk is there. Someone put you on a docket, created a supenoa, make a file, etc. So, everyone does there job, but you blow it off, and it means that you're getting a hose-job?

Cut me a break. You can't manage your money well enough (or earn enough) to save a $100 within 2 or 3 months, and you want to blame anyone but yourself. Take some personal responsibility and quit being a loser.

Or here's another idea- slow down, wear your seatbelt, buy insurance or otherwise correct whatever malfunction you are experiencing.

Re: Cops getting ticket happy?

While I certainly do not enjoy being visited by the police I am yet to experience it when it wasn't my fault. I also drive a lowered Durango and absolutely hate crappy ass roads. Since things like speeding tickets go to help pay to fix roads I am glad they are taking care of business. Obey the law and you have nothing to worry about. Break the law and you deserve the ticket you get. Myself included as I tend to have a lead foot and heavy throttle hand.

As for the police targeting sport bikes, yeah it happens. That is something everyone needs to understand before they swing a leg over their machine. Is it fair? Probably not. Does it happen regardless? Yes. If that is not something you are ready to live with then sportbikes are not for you. Plain and simple.
