I Ride: '07 GSX-R 600 | I got my wife into STAR! I am so excited. Step 1 of my master plan is complete. I got my wife enrolled today for her STAR class! It's a month and a half out but there will still be plenty of riding days left. ![]() FYI - for anyone looking they opened up a couple of classes in Nampa. One of them already filled before I could get in touch with her @ work to register so don't delay. |

Good to hear she's giving in. I'm not sure if I'll ever get my wife to ride a motorcycle but at least she doesn't give me any grief about owning them.

Nice job man, My wife said that the STARS class was the smartest thing she ever did. Those three simple days gave her so much confidence in riding a motorcycle that by the time she was done she was fully ready to tackle the street. Which was her biggest fear before the class.

Very nice! My wife had planned on doing a STARS this spring but I knocked her up (at least I think it was me) so it got put on hold. There's always next year.

Actually she'll be in the class starting June 5th. I was just happy I managed to log in at the right time and catch an opening.

So my wife Successfully completed and passed her STAR course! Apparently someone thinks she is qualified to operate a motorcycle in public, not bad for her 2nd day on a bike! Since she has to wait for the card in the mail to get her endorsement, now's the time for fun with loads of parking lot practice!

Coolio! Tell her to take your bike downtown Friday... Actually, you'll want to get her back into the lot next weekend and start cementing her skills! |

I took the STARS course last fall. Loved it! Also loved the feeling at the end of the class when 3 of the guys failed it and all the women passed. Ahahahahahaha

I Ride: F4i CBR600 | How is that fair when it was only one woman, yourself, in the class? LOL! Congrats, but just because they are a guy in the class, it does not mean they should be on a bike! I think more women should ride! Been talking to my wife about her doing STARS, she wants to, but is afraid she will fail. So for now just take her on the dirt bike to get more use to two wheels, then when she is ready she will go.

At least your wife has been on a dirt bike. I had never been more than a passenger on a motorcycle when I took the stars class. I didn't know how to start a bike or even how to get it off the kickstand before I took the class. We didn't top 25mph during the class. We literally started out on the bikes by starting them and duck walking them across the parking lot w/o even letting out fully on the clutch. When your wife's ready to ride... send her my way. I need some females to ride with!

STAR Secret: If a husband (experienced) and a wife (no experience) take the class together--the wife usually outscores the husband on the skills evaluation. Why? Hubby has bad habits to break, "knows" what he's doing, and won't take coaching as well. Wierd but true. You haven't lived until the "experienced" husband fails the skills eval and the wife passes... |

[QUOTE=CaptCrash;99739] I've seen a lot more gloating women in my day [QUOTE] its very interesting to watch a few biker women talk and look eachother up and down....like its a beauty contest. .....and then listen to the biker boys brag about their toys.... |
