Why are you thinking of me?? And lots of people know the stubby ![]() Personally I would stick with a company that does a fair amount of R&D. Will check out your link shortly. |

The best place to get concrete proof would be over on the SV forums since that's all they know or talk about. I come here for rides and to BS, but anything TL specific, it's always TLPlanet or TLZone for me.

ok so the full story is i have a yoshi pipe right now on the bike, but someone on cl wants to buy it for 250 cash and i was wondering if i should sell it and get the delkevic and put 100 bucks in my pocket. @m5james: i read up on them at svrider.com, they have 153 pages on this pipe in one thread and they all say its great but they are going from stock to this so duh... plus ive seen alot of people on there be totally ok with buying ebay stuff for their model and then having to custom fit it, i.e. they have low stanards. but thanks for the heads up ![]() im thinking ill just stick with the yoshi since i have it, just thought i could maybe pocket a 100 |

those are good sounding high quality pipes, my SV has them with the baffles still in place, if you like loud pipes just remove the baffles |

Long story short, I accidentally filled my 1st bike w/ diesel, so I had to take everything apart to drain and clean it. Jetting was super easy on my Yammy, so if Zuki's are the same, it was literally like changing a screw w/ a smaller orrifice to a larger one. The dealerships parts counter sold the jets for like .50 a piece, so a sales guy and I compared the orrifice sizes to the K&N premade jetting kit they had in stock, then just grabbed em from a bin. Supposedly after jetting, exhaust changes, etc your supposed to get everything re-tuned, buy my R6 was completely fine w/ the changes.

yeah, i heard you could get away with changing to a kn and slip on exhaust, what i have now, but if i went mid exhaust id probably need to get it jetted. if its that easy maybe ill buy the jet kit and see if i cant do it, even if i dont get the half exhaust. @james when you get your pc parts back can you email me some pics? im thinking about gettin some stuff done. |

Yeah, for sure. Bailey can do PC work, but he can't do frames, so I'm using someone else and getting it all done in one shot. If you also want help jetting the bike, let me know.

The hardest part is getting the carbs off, but it's definitely not rocket science. Once the carbs are off, changing the jets is simple. Beware the screws on the float bowls--they are notorious for stripping out. They look like normal Phillips-head screws, but they are actually JIS screws. There's a screwdriver in the SV tool kit that will fit them properly.

Like I said, aren't the jetkits simply new jets and an airfilter? That's what the K&N "kit" was for my R6. Since you've already got a filter, why not just hit the parts dept and buy some jets for like $.50 each.

Maybe check around on the SV forums about what jet kits people have used, and we'll go from there. I'm very mechanically inclined, so we'll figure it out.
