I Ride: Victory Kingpin, The Harley is deceased :(

A big favor to ask!

I have several friends whose homes are backed by Amity Road between Federal way, and Boise ave. I don't know if any BRN'rs are doing it, but if we could please refrain from accelerating too hard coming out of or running through the gears on downshifts coming into the turn onto Boise Ave. from Amity. They have several small children that play outside, and the noise wakes these people up, especially those that have to work night shift. Lets all have some courtesy for our neighbors and keep our noise making to the less inhabited areas that we ride.
Thanks.

Hey, thanks! We all still need to be good neighbors, unless we live next door to the Rock Water company!

just didn't really think about it. If it's our noise they are hearing let them know we apologize and we will try and keep it down.

I like that curve btw Boise Ave and Surprise Way, and live
by Amity. That reminds me, just this past Saturday while
riding north on Amity, a jogger suddenly appeared out on
the crosswalk before Surprise Way.

He didn't even bother looking right or left, and was totally
focused on crossing the road like a headless chicken from
west to east.

We have to keep an eye out for joggers, pedestrians, and
bicyclists on that crosswalk as some of them automatically
assume that they have the right of way.

I think they do have the right of way when they're in a crosswalk, even when it's red...but they should still look regardless.
