I don't know what a hydrolick is, or to onvert - but I've seen plenty of people on GSXR's and TL's convert from hydraulic to cable if that's what you mean. Ask mxroostin or go lurking on some CBR forums...they'll know for sure if it can be done, what it'll cost, and trade offs long before you find an answer here on a Boise area only forum of people who ride all kinds of bikes.

All new bikes are really awesome...I like the ergo's of my bike, feels compact/lighter...

Ask Chris, bungee, he has ridden my 1000...I would value his opionion of it over mine...I have only ever ridden honda's...

mines not a 1000 but damn close handles like a dream in corners. needs a stablizer for the straights tho. the new cbr's have the built in stablizers wired to the ecu so it stiffin's the higher the speed, at least thats how i understood it. i still turn 10's all day at the strip on a stock wheel base

My 08 is hydraulic, and I love it. If you drag race, I would suggest a cable style clutch. On the street/track its the easiest clutch to use however you lose some feel which takes a little time to get use to for some people.

You attributed this to the your GPS/LoJack, but never said if you've fixed it.

You never said anything for the reasoning of this though.

I understand every bike has it's problems, but be honest w/ the guy if he's looking to buy...good and bad.

I hate my hydraulic...I can't feather the clutch at all. When I launch, it's either slipping or full on grip. I'd like to be able to slide it a little so I don't feel like I'm going to either bog or do a wheelie everytime I wanna take someone at a light. I've owned this bike since 02 and still can't seem to launch it consistantly everytime. For my bike, I can do a straight across swap from a TLS onto my TLR, w/ the only issues being that I need to lube the cable once in a while. I've also got a set of Barnett springs waiting to be installed, hopefully that'll help the clutch feel.

Mine doesn't start very well in cold rainy weather either Who knows why, dont know many others that start either - she just goes on strike and told me a secret once, that it doesn't like to taste water. The Yammy tells me to go put on my snowboard when its cold and rainy, so I do what she says.....

Then something is wrong. Even my KTM has a hydraulic clutch and I can feather it all day long. My 600 is the only current bike I have with a cable, and I can't tell much difference between the two other than how hard you have to pull the lever. Although it's not a fair comparison as I only use the clutch to start and downshift though on the race bike.

First off, keyboard is one word. Secondly, it's a simple copy and paste w/ a little use of the ENTER button...something my 12yr old son can do. What's your excuse?

You gonna call me a grammar Nazi now? Last I checked we speak Engrish (don't get excited, I misspelled it on purpose) on these forums. FYI...in case you need it, there is a little ABC check box in the upper right corner to help you out.

Lastly, as I said...if the guy is asking for information, so don't just give him all the positive fluff. You're basically trying to patronize me for keeping you honest to another member. Let him know it all so he can make an educated decision.

I never said it was a bad bike at all. It's actually a nice looking bike, and I especially like the black and white fairings he has on it.

As for my bike being in boxes, it's actually perfectly rideable right now...all my UPGRADES are sitting in boxes. Next time you buy something for yours, can I make fun of you?
