NAMPA – One person died after a vehicle versus motorcycle crash in Nampa Saturday night. It happened at approximately 5:45 p.m. at the intersection of Midway Road and Homedale Road in Nampa. Lynsi Morris, 28, of Nampa, was northbound on Midway in a blue Toyota Tacoma. Dennis Oliveira, 64, also of Nampa, was attempting to continue eastbound on Homedale when he pulled out in front of Morris on a blue and white Harley Davidson motorcycle. Oliveira was not wearing a helmet and was transported by ground ambulance to St. Alphonsus in Boise where he later died of the injuries he had sustained. Morris was wearing her seatbelt and was uninjured. The crash is still under investigation. |

his death. If that's the case, I don't know of any gear that'd saved his life. That said, wearing gear definitely makes a difference in tons of accidents. Those who ride without helmets should, at the very least, wear good eye protection as they have to be visually aware of their surroundings. | |
