Hope you heal up quickly and get back to riding soon

The stories I've heard about Oregon police are making me never want to go there again! Do you think it would help to show up in court with a video of someone dragging knee in a parking lot at less than 20mph to prove it can be done without being 'aggressive'?

Chances of being issued a performance award in Oregon are roughly
comparable to Idaho although getting into an accident might be a
different story. Have any of you been cited in Idaho after a crash?

CA/OR/WA do charge much higher penalties than ID. No clue where
MT fits in.

4 years ago, while riding on Ebbetts Pass, Monitor Pass, Markleeville,
and Carson Pass, was astonished at the number of CHP units out on
those roads that Sunday. We were followed by CHP SUV that pulled
an u-turn to follow us after we passed him. We stopped to take
a butt break after 5 minutes of that -- he kept going.

That said, doing the Black Canyon and/or Lowman Loop gets old and
there's tons of terrific roads in Oregon.
