I Ride: 2007 YZFR1 | Truth in advertising??? Right
'09 VROD MUSCLE VRSCF with leathers vest backpack and helmet - $14999 (BOISE) I am a private owner and **FINANCING** is available OAC. I have a 2009 V rod VRSCF Muscle. It has 5000 miles on it and it has just been serviced by Harley. I added the extended service program which is a three yr warranty and is good for another 2 and a half years Transferable. My wife recently got laid off and I have to cut back on the bills or we wont survive. the toys are the first to go. So additions to the the bike are key less "entry" meaning that you don't have to use a key to ride the bike. All you need is to have the FOB in your riding jacket and you can get on it and go. SECURITY SYSTEM!!!The other additions are the maintainer / heated suit plug. and I have a ram GPS mount and the wiring installed. I added the Sissy bar on the back also. ALL upgrades were performed or signed off by Harley and will not void the warranty. I also have a custom Cell phone mount for it also. Will accept any Iphone, or droid, or IPOD with the charger Built in!!!. The bike gets 35 MPG. This bike is nothing like a Harley. The engine was Engineered by Porsche and is EXTREMELY fast. It corners better than any other street bike out there. I used to ride sport-bikes and this out-corners and out-accelerates any 1000 cc crotch rocket on the market. It is an amazing Machine. It is all black with the brushed and polished aluminum. It has silver GHOST flames AIRBRUSHED into the "tank". It is a real treat to look at. The bike MSRP's at 19,999. What I paid out is my loss you will just pay off the balance of the loan and I have all documentation on services and warranty. I have only ran full synthetic since day one and as long as you do too this bike could be passed on to your children or resold in the future for the same price. Harleys don't lose their Value. Remember that this is the MUSCLE version and the body is completely different. I am including My leather jacket $350, $450 Helmet, Backpack $125, and vest $65, all included in the price. See pictures below. Contact me Through 208-412-7268 begin_of_the_skype_highlighting**************208-412-7268******end_of_the_skype_highlighting by text or call, click the email link above to email me, My name is layn I cant believe some people. My dad has a Warrior 1700cc like Jasons. He had the pipes done and PCII and all the mods. He lives down in Laguna Beach which is obviously at sea level so it aint gonna go faster anywhere else. My R1 on its worst day would chew it up. There is gobs of torque and there fast but that is one bold unfounded statement if ive ever heard one.. And I read a lot of Pimpits posts so I know one when I see one. LOL. And trying to BS other riders at that. What else can I say but Good luck with the sale |

I rode a vrod at the harley demo and it doesnt have shit on even the 600s that I have ridden let alone my 1k. That must be why we weren't aloud at the harley dyno comp. They would have realised how nomatter what the salesman says at the harley dealer, it will never be faster, put out more power, or ride better than most sport bikes

I want some of the crack that is being passed around to these people posting bikes on CL lately. My favorite is when they say "Don't have to sell it so don't low ball me" and then ask $1k over book value. Like the fact that you are not desperate to sell doubles the value of the bike...

v rods are fast for harleys, but...... should be more like can't out accelerate any 600cc sport bike on the market. lol.... what a dumb ass. says he used to ride sport bikes and this handles better. last sport bike he rode must have ben before the 80's. lol.... I have rode a v rod several times and liked it. it is a nice cruiser. but it is foolish to try to compare it in handling and acceleration to a sport bike. My ben franklin says I can out accelerate him on any 1990's and newer 600cc sport bike. |

I am glad I copied it I knew it wouldnt last very long. I didnt get the pictures but here is the text. The pictures at the bottom were pretty funny Title: (motorcycles/scooters) Super awesome motorcycle So this goes out to all the azhats who think just because they are desperate or on crack that their bikes are worth their weight in gold. Wake up and smell what ever it is you are smoking. Just because you put a crap load of squidly add-ons your bike doesnt mean that it raises the value of the bike. Also taking a hack saw and "modding" the crap till it is unsafe to ride doesnt count as an upgrade. Please dont sell that bike keep riding it so the population gets thinned out a little. Example is this ad 1859916210. Yes that goes for all you morons who have your vehicle priced $1k to $2k over the book value. Now to the book value. I dont care what that damn book says it is worth. In case you havent taken a look at the economy lately I hate to burst your bubble, but it sucks out there. Gouging people on prices is the exact reason that the economy has tanked. So all of you morons with the over priced bikes guess what the economy is your fault. Something is only worth what someone is willing to pay for it. Its simple economics try taking the class. If you are one of the fools who bought said over priced bike guess what, take this as a lesson learned or please remove yourself from the gene pool. I know i know there will be an idiot out there that will buy said over priced piece of crap. That is what this ad is for is to try and stop said stupidity. One last thing if you are looking at the " '09 VROD Muscle VRSCF" and you believe the crap about the performance that the abortion who posted said ad is spewing, then I am pleased to inform you that the bike also flys and runs off of the juice of fresh squeezed kittens and lost hopes and dreams. Please buy this bike and relieve us of your stupidity and paint a fine skin crayon master piece after you try and out do a sport bike on a VROD. You can thank me later VROD guy for the sales assist. One last thing all of you morons with the Chinese made pieces of crap, you will never be able to recover the money that you wasted on those lead based death traps. Please refer to the instructions on gene pool relief above. That is all carry on. P.S. The weedhacker motorcycle is for sale for $3000 and I can sell you the plans for the cat skates for a nominal fee. |

Funny thing is, he just showed how little he knows, smaller bikes = corner better if he really wanted to make his bike sound awesome he'd say it out corners 600's & out accelerates 1L's. Duh guy... come on! He must of reposted it http://boise.craigslist.org/mcy/1936650585.html |

I guess I felt the need to mess with this guy. I emailed him. "I am very interested in your bike. I've been looking for something that can out corner & out accelerate my friends crotch rockets. I had no idea Harley made bike that could beat them!! I'm pretty excited about that cause I think they are beautiful bikes. Do you have photo's of the custom cell phone mount? I'm curious what that looks like. I feel confident the motor is in great shape too since you used full synthetic from day one! That let's me know the rings are properly set. Sounds like you really took care of your bike! I bet it's only a matter of time before we see the fastest riders in the world out at the track dragging knee on VROD's!! Speaking of, have you taken this bike to Miller Motorsports Park? I'm curious what kind of lap times you got if you did. -Bret http://boise.craigslist.org/mcy/1936650585.html" |

I have a feeling I will never hear from him... fact: if your Harley corners better than a sportbike, you sir, don't know how to ride a bike. It's time for a trike. It's odd to me when people think that a product that's made for a certain purpose (like comfort) would end up being better than another product made for a different purpose (like performance, handling, racing). This guy may as well post an AD stating that his couch is lighter than his full carbon fiber road bike. Or that his 55" TV is the best mobile flash light ever made. This reminds me of the AD I saw with the title "ALMOST NEW!" It was a 2000 R6 and in the ad he explained how it was faster than the newer 600's. fact: the newer bikes get the slower they make them. You don't want a 133hp 600. Buy my 95hp 600. It's faster than the newer 600's that have more power. Simple. Such horrible logic! Why would a Harley ever be faster or corner better than a sportbike?? Harley isn't in that market, that's not their goal. I'm going to post an AD for my sportbike and say it's more comfortable than cruisers & has more storage options than any Harley I've ever seen. Cause let's face it, everyone looking for a sportbike wants comfort & everyone looking at a Harley wants to drag knee better than a sportbike would allow them too. I bet this guy is selling his Harley for gas money to take his Harley on a road trip across the Pacific Ocean. /End rant |

I Ride: The Armageddon bike, Orange Crush, Panagale Tricolor | Double checking, triple checking, and even quadruple checking doesn't help if you can't spell. Grandpa always said that "If you don't know what is wrong, everything looks right". (Though he usually said that when he saw a high heel wearing lady peering under the hood of a broken down car..) |

His response "Hi Bret. Thank you for the interest. I would love to show you the cell mount but it is currently being built for me. I work at motive power and I have access to fabricators so that’s where its coming from. I am an engineer and I drew up the plans only last week. I should have it by the end of the week though. It will mount to the gauge set and hover just above the “tank”. If you are interested in seeing the bike I would be glad to show it to you. I still haven’t picked it back up from Harley after its 5k service. I could meet you there tomorrow after work if you would like to see it. Call me either way at 208 412 7268. If you can’t call or don’t get this until tomorrow send me an email to [email protected]. Oh and I haven’t taken it to the track but flat out it beat my buddies raider which is a 1900cc monster. And my little sewing machine is only a 1250. My friends call it a sewing machine because of what the stock pipes sound like as I fly by them. Layn" |

![]() Why don't you guys post up some idea's on what to say next... I do want to say something to him about how he only compared his bike to another cruiser & not a sportbike. I'm wondering where this guy even got the idea it's faster than a sportbike. Maybe cause he rode a 1L 13 years ago & he thinks that's how they are now. | |

I got curious about the specs of this bike 09 VROD MUSCLE VRSCF: Liquid-cooled, 1250cc Revolution V-Twin engine Compression Ratio: 11.5:1 125 hp at 8250 rpm/85 ft. lbs. torque at 7000 rpm Wet Weight: 673 lbs 2010 R1 Specs: 998cc Compression Ratio: 12.7:1 179.6 hp @ 12,500 rpm without ram air, 72.6 lb·ft torque Wet Weight: 450 lbs 2009 R6 Specs: 599cc Compression Ratio: 13.1:1 127.3 hp @ 14,500 rpm without ram air Wet Weight : 417 lbs I should email him these numbers and act like I'm super impressed the Harley can still be faster. |

I replied. Ugh! Guy.... I thought for sure you'd know I was messing with you. 1. No Harley will out accelerator a modern sportbike. That's not Harley's desire nor the desire of people who ride Harley. That's like placing an ad for a toaster and your selling point is how great it plays DVD's. You are appealing to the wrong crowd. 2. No Harley can out corner a sportbike. Again, this isn't Harleys goal, the simple physics of it makes it impossible for a Harley to corner better than a sportbike. It just doesn't have the clearance & the rake/trail, suspension & tires would also make this impossible. 3. IF your statements were at all true you'd notice a few things would be different in the world.... Like sportbikes wouldn't be the dominate bike at drag strips. Sportbikes wouldn't be the dominate bike at road racing tracks, the AMA wouldn't have a sportbike class, they would have a Harley class. MotoGP wouldn't have 800cc 4 stroke Japanese/Italian/etc bikes, they would have Harleys. You are lying in your ad and it doesn't help you at all. People looking for Harleys don't want to out accelerate or out corner Japanese sportbikes. 09 VROD MUSCLE VRSCF: Liquid-cooled, 1250cc Revolution V-Twin engine Compression Ratio: 11.5:1 125 hp at 8250 rpm/85 ft. lbs. torque at 7000 rpm Wet Weight: 673 lbs 2010 R1 Specs: 998cc Compression Ratio: 12.7:1 179.6 hp @ 12,500 rpm without ram air, 72.6 lb·ft torque Wet Weight: 450 lbs 2009 R6 Specs: 599cc Compression Ratio: 13.1:1 127.3 hp @ 14,500 rpm without ram air Wet Weight : 417 lbs If you still believe you are correct I'd suggest posting the above stats in your ad & explain to people how it's physically possible your bike could possible out accelerate or out corner a sportbike. Don't forget to mention why you don't need the ground clearance to lean as low as a sportbike because Harley has defied physics as the world knows it. |

I forgot to give him shit for using a Full Synthetic oil from day one & how difficult it is for rings to seal correctly that way... But I really just wanted to give him a hard time for making shit up not so much for his ignorance. Still haven't heard back. I doubt I will. |
