Friend in Kona went down...

When I went to Kona this March I had the pleasure of meeting Chesley and Emerald they are neighbors of my parents there. Chesley rides with my dads group and is kind of the odd man out cause he rides a sport bike(buell) and they all ride harleys and cruisers. We hung out and bbq ed together and went to the beach together...honestly some of the best and kind hearted people I have ever met. Approximately 21 hrs ago he was involved in a motorcycle vs car accident and from what I hear it was caused by the car. He stopped breathing and his heart stopped about 3am but they got him going again and he is doing alot better now...

I am really sorry to hear that. My Mom passed away last February after we took her off life support. She was involved in a motorcycle accident and that picture reminds me of exactly what she looked like. He appears to be in slightly better shape. I really hope and pray that his unfortunate accident only gets better from here. Thanks for the reminder that it can happen to any of us at anytime. God Bless you Chesley and also friends and family.

Thanks to the half a dozen of you that cared enough to post with well wishes and prayers...my intention with this thread was to transfer these posted to his facebook page for motivation through this tough time...my job is easy now since there is only 6 posts.

I Ride: with dubious judgement, but niceness

Thoughts and prayers from our house to theirs. It's a beautiful place to ride over there and our sincerest prayer is for him to once again enjoy the freedom of the road and the love of his family and friends.

In His hands,
Bluesrider

Good thing they got him going again, good luck with the healing. If he has a sense of humor, maybe you can show his dress in this pic after he's up and riding again Hopefully the driver of the car is being punished in kind and pays for what happened.

I didn't notice his eyebrows, but his eyebrows do remind me of the guy who shaved them and then painted them back on in the movie "My Best Friends Girl" when you look at the image w/o clicking on it first...nice and full!

He looks like a fighter in the picture, I'm sure he will pull through to ride another day. I don't pray much, but I'll send one up for him.

I was very sorry to hear/read about this. This is my worst fear while riding around all the cages. My thoughts and prayers go out and we wish him a speedy recovery.
