I Ride: 2003 Kawasaki ZX-6R 636

New to the site

Hey everyone, i'm new to the site. I joined to hopefully meet some people to ride with.
I currently ride a 2003 Kawasaki ZX-6R 636. I've owned it now for about six months. The bike that i owned before it was a 1992 Yamaha XJ600 SECA II.
Here are some pics of my bike.

Nice damper BTW, those things are life savers. Not the flavorful little candies.

So true. I just had an accident last night because I didn't have one. Damn tank slappers.

I think I saw that video... Glad it wasn't too bad.

I hit a deer & didn't go down. It hit right on my throttle hand pretty hard. I had a Scotts damper on. *shrug*

Welcome to "The Site" also know as "BRN or "The Circus". Anyway come out to the Legends Bar and Grill Annual Meet and Greet (BRN's 3rd Annual Meet & Greet!!!!!!!!). Beth or Brandon will be sure to tattoo you with a nice sticky name tag so everyone knows who you are. There are other acronyms commonly used on this site like "KK" for Krispy Kreme or "HSB" for Horse Shoe Bend, but we'll get to those later. There will be a test in March before the riding season. Here is a good read to get you up to speed with the amount of "ADD" on this site (Acronym help).

Totally joking, there will be no test and you'll fit in just fine.

WELCOME

thanks for all the welcomes everyone. Also thanks for all the comments about my bike. I do my best to keep her looking good and running strong.

By the way, the scotts damper is worth the money. A must buy for any motorcyclist. Not only does it help keep you on the road if you run over something (pot holes, debris, animal), but I've also noticed reduced vibration in the bars.

Cool another Nampa-ite. My son has an old Seca. It is his first Bike. He's 29 and also lives in Nampa. You might see my wife and I cruising around on our Red ST1100's. They are pretty much the only matched pair in the U.S. If I'm flying solo you will see me on the bright red VFR with the noisy gutted pipes!

KSU sure frustrated me for awhile. I think I goggled it. And I work for the company that is the king of shrink and invented the acronym.

Never been on zx6r.com. Nice to see another 03 636. A very nice looking one at that too. And yes I have been riding. Only on the weekends though because I work the night shift and it still gets damn cold at night.

Youll have to check it out. Another good group of riders. And you can get a buttload of info/mods for your bike. They have a link for a manual if you dont have one. Yeah the cold sucks. Im not from a cold weather state so I am still getting used to it. Maby one day we can get out and do a ride. I dont know anybody out here to ride with. I have spent most my time working and getting settled.

^ Have you two thought about swapping out your 03/04 forks? The 03/04 are bad quality and have been known to snap.

Yes I have. I have heard a few bad stories. I just havnt found any 05's to trade out. Im keeping my eye on the zx6r parting out posts. I would like to go to a newer year swingarm as well. Im trying ti find the swap list so I can figure out what swing arms I can use.

i've also heard bad things about the forks. I'm just having a hard time finding a good replacement that wont break the bank.

If anyone wants to go for a ride (street or dirt), or you want some help working on a bike, just call or text me at 208-936-0472.
