New to the area, no bike (Yet)

Hey everybody, my name is Joel, I am 20 years old and I live in Garden City. I moved over here from Coos Bay, OR at the beginning of the school year.

Before I left I had a little Ninja 250 that I bombed around on. I put 11,000 miles on it and did one track day at Thunderhill. Sold it before leaving for school, planning on getting a job and buying a 600 when I got here. I found jobs to be very scarce, but as of this week I finally got one so I'm back on the uphill climb towards another bike.

I think I want either an 03+ CBR600RR or a 636. I'm hoping to find a fairly cheap one with some barked and rashed up plastics. Then I could just throw some of those Chinese eBay sets on when I can afford it.

Think you'll be happy with some of the twisty stuff we got around here. Looks like you got your moneys worth out of that 250.

! I used to ride one of those 250s, fun little bike. It was a blast on Lowman. Anyway, welcome to the area.

Yeah, the 250 was a ton of fun. It was worth every penny. Now I am really kicking myself for selling it, but I was afraid that It was going to grenade on me the way I ran it. It might be summer before I can afford another bike. Hopefully by fall I'll be able to get down to Miller for a track day, and there is a new track over by Portland I'd like to check out.

You going to BSU? If so there are a bunch of us on here that go there too.

If you get a bike with some rash don't waste your money on that chinese crap off eBay. Trust me, you don't want that headache, especially for what you'll end up paying. When that time comes just let me know and I'll get you hooked up.

Hey Ming, got your PM about the 636. I can't seem to PM you back. Either the forum has a problem or I'm just retarded.

But Kawi already killed the 636. The last new one was 2006.
