I Ride: Victory Kingpin, The Harley is deceased :(

Surgery is done.

At last, my back surgery is complete. Now comes the several months wait to see how much strength I can regain in my legs and how successful the procedure is. Should have my new bike home by March. Just in time to start riding again with any luck.
Hey everybody have a good winter and safe riding.

i have to disagree with this alittle if he' feels he's ready he should go for it. i technically still had a broken ankle when i got my cast off and i was on the bike the same day. i'd like to thank Sidi for making a supportive boot that helped with my recovery.

Stay positive and you'll be back riding before long. it's always nice to have a goal to shoot for. so you can do it.

A foot is ALOT different then a back...I have broken my foot/leg and nothing has compared to a hurt back...

Yeah, my back now has rods, clamps and screws along with some bone grafts to fuse part of it together. Now I will always need a nice back protector under my jacket for rides (needs as much protection as I can use).

I had three levels in my back fused with rods and bone grafts as well as a couple of laminectomies. Been home 2 days and can now walk a short distance without the assistance of my two canes. If I sit them up just right my computer looks like it has apehangers! It will be awhile before I can ride again likely March or Apil. I wonder if Sidi makes a boot that will support my back?

You mess up your back and you will be done for life. Take it one step at a time.

As long as when you wake up you are still fully clothed! LMAO

Glad to hear that the surgery went as expected, hope for a full recovery for you!
