I had me one of these, but I had to wait till I was 19 way back in 1989. Before that it was all dirt bikes. I still kinda miss that old XS400.

Wasn't Al Russells up on Overland back in the day? Just down the road from Husky Suzuki before Dan Husky broke his back?

Actually, after moving from next door to the Chicago Connection, Al Russell built another store further west on Overland in 1993, that was later an autoparts store, prior to selling it and the move to Meridian. I bought an FZR400R from them there in 1994, for my wife.

I have known a few people in my riding days that have had the yellow and black scheme gix. I have never seen one constantly being mistaken for a 1000 like Linkers.

Welcome KID. LOL Love that bike. I was the one trying to convince Mikey into buying that bike. He wasnt having any of it though.

Get those rear sets and passenger pegs off and PM Loopy for a price on powdercoating them black and you will be styling on that bad boy

You're counting the time I stalled and the first time I ever raced this bike. You can beat a bike that died I have the slips where I have beat you a few times not to mention my times are quicker. Lets go heads up instead of bracket, You have been riding your bike for over a year, this is my first year on this bike, so the first time I was at the track with it shouldn't really count beings I had only ridden it like 50 miles before then, and never launched it. You beat me on a bike Iwasn't comfortable on, is that kinda like beating me on the 600 with your liter bike

We will see who is faster next weekend:wheeli e:

you two can argue all you want, but I do recall a certain time Pimpit out on (Secret Location) that I gave you a head start and I still spanked you. Dirt, Street, no difference, I will walk all over you and will even have Honda stickers on me! LMAO

scott u got beat plain and simple u can talk all the shit u want and pull out every excuse u want u still got beat. we had to race twice at test and tune and you still lost both times in a heads up race, not to mention i beat u again the first race of the year knocked you out 2nd round. so save your excuses
